Authors Note:

Hi Y'all,

I hope everyone is doing well today. I'm fantastic. But I kind of forgot this account existed once again because life truly got in the way. But I have since been very bored and decided to re-read my stories. This being one of them. Although I look at it with such a feeling of nostalgia, I also absolutely hated it. I hate the plot; I hate my writing style that I used, and I just thought that most of the characters were insufferable and annoying. So I have had thoughts about rewriting it and changing the plot, and basically most of the story in general. However, I know that you guys really love this story and in fact a lot of you found my work because of this story. Which I am very grateful for. You guys are so amazing. Which is why I want to present this idea to y'all before I actually follow through with it. If y'all don't like this first chapter of the Immortal re-write then I will delete this and the story will stay as it is right now. But if you do like it, then I will be happy to continue with this somewhat new story line. But thank you so much for your time and please let me know what you think because it really does mean a lot to me.  So here is what chapter one of the Immortal rewrite would look like.

Chapter One:

1982

Bliss walked out of her evening class wanting nothing more than to go to bed as soon as she returned back to her dorm. Before she started walking on the sidewalk, she went into her bag, searching for a cigarette to ease the tension she felt. Although she was at her dream school, and pursuing what she thought would make her parents happy, she never felt safe on the campus of  Ohio State University after dusk. The amount of stories that she had heard caused her to always be on her guard when walking by herself.

"Shit!" She whispered to herself when she realized that not only she ran out of cigarettes in the pack, but she also forgot her ID card in her room. The only way that she could solve this was by approaching the payphone next to the building and dialing the number that she has memorized since the first day of school. She patiently waited as the phone rang to hear the person on the other line pick up.

"Hello?" The feminine voice answered in a kind way.

"Hey, Terry. So I forgot my ID once again. Can you come let me in once I get there, I'll be at our building in five minutes." Bliss explained only to hear a sigh on the other line.

"Yeah of course. Could you maybe meet me at the alleyway? It'll be quicker." Terry suggested.

"Sure. I'll see you in a few minutes." Bliss told her before hanging up. She sighed in annoyance before making her way towards the alleyway her roommate was talking about. She always hated this shortcut and preferred to take the long way rather than have her anxiety increased. The young adult clenched onto her sweater as she felt a cold breeze from the wind. She glanced in all directions, looking for any sign of her roommate, and nothing coming about it. She wondered how much longer it would take for Terry to arrive because she was not only starting to get anxious, but cold.

Bliss suddenly jumped when hearing a loud shriek. She didn't know what to expect once she turned to where it was coming from. But was soon relieved to see that it was only a young couple laughing. The couple was gone shortly after, which caused her to be alone in a dark alleyway all over again. She looked into her bag once again, finding nothing but her notebook and the pen that she used to write everything down. She sighed, starting to become impatient and decided that she wanted to walk to her building on her own.
