The Unexpected

Chapter 3

"Seriously Fay!?" I wake up to my mother screeching at top of her lungs. It was 6am, i still had an hour. 

I groan into my pillow.

"I told you to wash these dishes lastnight!" She continues.

The thing is, i did. Troy must of stayed up later and added more. 

I can hear her mumble a few words loudly and slams the door shut. 

Right when i thought we were actually starting to get along, guess not. 

It was 8:10, i was supposed to leave 10 minutes ago. I had to finish washing all the dishes Troy had made lastnight. I ran into the familyroom to grab my bag.

I gasped. 

Tanner West was sitting in my living room. 

"Uhm..."

"Oh, look  who it is." He teased

"What exactly are you doing here?" I asked

Before he can answer, Troy came running in. 

"Here ya go man." Troy hands him a CD.

"Thanks." He looks back and winks at me. 

I roll my eyes and he smirks. 

"What was that? You guy are friends?" I asked Troy suspiciously. 

"He let me borrow his CD, and yah i guess so." He gives me a wierd look, but doesnt attempt to ask any questions. 

My brother and Tanner are friends. Wow.

"Im sure you all are excited for the trip to France this year?" Mrs Jackson announces.

Everyone starts chatting up, talking about who's pairing up with who. Basically the France trip is about a family taking you and a partner into their home and you stay there for a month. You learn about their language and culture and right this massive Essay. If you haven't  guessed yet, this is French. 

"Okay, don't get too excited, mes amies." She continues. "If our class average is below a 70, you won't be picking your partners."  She smiles evily.

I frown at Lily. 

"WHAT?!" Tanner shrieks. 

Why is he in this class?

"Oui, oui. So lets work hard."

"Imagine if one us get paired with Tanner?!" Lily panicks while biting into her apple.

"Lets not imagine!" I suggest.

"I dont know Fay, i'm imagining him shirtless right now." She hangs her tongue out.

I slap her across the arm. 

"What???" she giggles.

"Fay! Come up here!" I literally just walked in.

"One sec mom!" 

"I said now! You never do anything around here, when's the last time you cleaned your room?! Its disgusting."

"I just cleaned it last week."

"Oh really? Now you're lying, or you don't know how to clean. When are you going to get a job and help out around here?"

Wow, way to change the subject pretty fast.

"You never go out, do you even have friends? Be social! Are you gonna go anywhere in life? You'll probably live here for the rest of your life, am i right?"
