chapter 4: the "date"

A few minutes later both of them finally arrived at the hostess of fertility where there's not many people as it's still daytime.

Both of them then sat at the counter where they were approached by mama Mia.

"Wow kid you move fast last night you were just drooling over her now you're taking her on a date" mama Mia said in a teasing voice.

Both Solomon and Riveria blushed a shade of crimson and Solomon waved his arms around and said "what! n-no I wasn't!!"

Riveria found the situation funny so she giggled a little which surprised her as she knows she's a serious person and doesn't really laugh that much though she also thought Solomon was really cute being all flustered but she will never admit it out loud.

"Ehem whatever just take our orders please" Solomon said while fighting down his blush.

"Alright but I want the details later" mama Mia said while grinning.

After ordering mama Mia went to the back and Solomon and Riveria was left alone.

"Sooo please let's just forget all of that and start over haha" Solomon said while rubbing the back of his head.

Riveria smiled again and said "alright"

They then started chatting about random things while sometimes laughing and giggling both of them were truly having a good time as their food arrived they received another teasing from mama Mia that made them both blush again.

While talking their topic shifted to Solomon's fight with the sprite dragon earlier.

"Your fight earlier was impressive you were able to fight that dragon alone and you are also able to use concurrent chanting right? That's how you were able to move around even while chanting you're pretty strong for a level 3" Riveria said in an impressed tone.

(Concurrent chanting: A high-level technique involving casting magic while fighting or moving around. Its difficulty is likened to dealing with a bomb with both hands while fighting due to the chance of failing a chant or not being able to control their own magic power. Skill at using concurrent chanting depends on how much experience the user has with it.)

Solomon was really flattered then said "you got it a bit wrong I'm not a level 3 I'm a level 1".

To say Riveria is shocked was an understatement a level 1 defeating a level 3 monster it was completely unheard of.

"WHAT!!! you're a level 1!? But how?! sprite dragons are comparable to a level 3 monster" Riveria shouted.

Solomon rubbed the back of his head and said"well I can't really explain it I guess I'm just built different" he finished in a confident tone while puffing out his chest.

Riveria was just looking at him in wonder to her it was unheard of for a level 1 to defeat a level 3 because of the strength gap now her world view was just shattered before her by this boy who seemed to be crawling his way into her heart

"I am also curious about your magic those spells you used are really strong you were also able to use more than 3 magic spells how is that possible?" Asked Riveria aside from his strength she was also shocked that he was able to use more than 3 magic spell as that usually is not possible unless one possesses a unique skill like her.

"Ah that actually is because a skill of mine it's called rings of Solomon I know it's name is weird but it allows me to use as many magic spells as I want without being restricted by the magic slot limit" Solomon replied which surprised him as this skill is his greatest secret which he under normal circumstances will never tell anyone however something is telling him that becoming truthful to Riveria won't have any negative impacts on him.

Riveria is once again shocked even more this time though it is understandable a skill like that is incomprehensible and would make him a target of all gods in orario.

She was also surprised that he revealed such an important information about him to her and she will admit it made her happy that he trusts her enough to reveal such a huge secret.

"I understand thank you for trusting me enough to reveal such sensitive information about you though I admit I wasn't really expecting you to answer my question as a skill like that if it got out will make you a target of all gods in orario" Riveria said in gratitude.

"Well something tells me it wouldn't hurt me in the slightest even if I entrust you with my everything" Solomon said while smiling brightly.

"So warm that smile it gives me a warm feeling in my chest what is this? Though I don't hate it" Riveria thought and also smiled back at Solomon.

Their mood was broken when mama Mia popped in and said" looks like you've fallen head over heels for each other huh? Are we expecting the papa of Loki familia to appear soon Riveria" with a teasing grin.

Her sentence caused both Solomon and Riveria to blush a shade of crimson. And made Riveria deny it profusely.

"N-no y-you got it all wrong were just friends right now" Riveria replied in a flustered tone.

"Y-yeah" Solomon chimed in though he was surprised Riveria referred to him as a friend he was happy she regarded him as such instead of just acquaintance.

"Right now huhhh??" Mama Mia said back with a teasing grin.

Riveria tried to say something but her words were stuck to her throat so she just bowed her head down and covered her face with her hands.

Solomon found the situation amusing and Riveria really cute but she looked like she was about to explode so he decided to end the afternoon and go.

"Mama mia I think that's enough she's about to explode you know hahahaha anyway here is our payments thank you again for the food" Solomon said and stood up with Riveria in tow.

Both of them were now outside and Solomon decided to walk Riveria to the twilight manor.

"You didn't have to do this you know I can go home on my own" Riveria who now calmed down her blush said.

"No it's fine consider this me repaying my favor and to be honest I enjoyed my time with you and I wanted it to last longer haha" Solomon said while rubbing the back of his head.

Riveria blushed a bit but she fought it down and replied with "I also enjoyed it"

Solomon smiled and both continued to walk in comfortable silence.

A few minutes later they then arrived in the twilight manor.

"Well this is my stop thank you again Solomon for showing me such a wonderful time" Riveria said with a dazzling smile.

"Your very welcome Riveria" Solomon replied then added" if you want can we do this again sometime"

Riveria was surprised for a while then recovered and said" yes let's do this again sometime" she was curious about this boy who was able make her smile and laugh so effortlessly she was curious about this boy who was able to make her feel things she has never felt before she wanted to get to know him better.

Having received his answer Solomon started walking to his home while waving his hand.

"Solomon just who are you?" Riveria thought in wonder as she heads inside her familia home.
