Chapter 9- Flashbacks & confessions

KADEN'S POV

I went to visit her today. She still doesn't remember. This is all my fault. I was the one who got mad and yelled at her from te passenger seat while she was driving. I'm the reason she crashed. I'm the reason she doesn't remember anything. I shouldn't have. But i, i love her, and she goes and tells me it's too late, that she's in love with... Nathan? My best friend? How could she?

Anger tears were rolling down my face, i punched the wall. Great, now my wall had a hole. I couldn't so this anymore, i crashed on my bed and closed my eyes, maybe the pain would go away. No it made it worse, the flashbacks started.

-FLASHBACK-

"So umm, who are you going to the dance with?" I asked her nervously.

"Mm, i don't know... Probably Nathan?" She giggled and then ran away into the nearby forest. Oh this girl likes to play.

I ran into the woods behind her. "Why Nathan?"

She turned around, got very close to me, and pouted, "Maybe because you haven't asked me yet?" Just when i was about to kiss her, she turns around, and runs away.

She's a hard one, i like it. I ran after her a little more. And when i finally found her, i grabbed her wrist tightly to stop her from running away again.

"Do you want me to invite you to the dance?" I looked right into those green eyes, they were full of hope, and something else, that i can't really figure out.

"I don'tknow, maybe. Why? Are you inviting me?" She smiled at me, not one of those naughty smirks, but more like a sweet smile.

I got closer, she looked nervous. My eyes traveled all the way from her green eyes, down to her pink lips, which were slightly parted. She got on her tiptoes, and slowly brushed her lips against mine.

This wasn't our first kiss. But it did feel like the first one. The others had been rough and passionate, while this one was kind and loving.

She pulled away, breathless. I looked her in the eyes one more time, and pulled her into a tight hug. She was surprised at first but the hugged me back.

"Would you go to the dance with me?" I wispered gently in her ear. The kissed the top of her forehead.

Looking up at me she wispered back, "Yes!" Even though it was a wisper, you could hear the exitment in her words.

"Sophie i, have something that i've been wanting to tell you."

She just nodded.

"Sophie. Sophie, i..."

"Shh. Don't say it." Not letting me finish what i was about to say.

She just went back to hugging me. Hid her face in my neck and breathed against it. Her grip had tightened around m. I will be waiting for an answer from her.

-NON FLASHBACK-

KADEN'S POV

I woke up the next morning to the knocking on my bedroom door. I got up from bed and walked towards were the sound was coming from, and opened it slowly. Nathan was outside my door, with a worried look on his face.

"Nathan?"

He came in and sat on the bed. I walked to him, shuting the door behind me.

"What happened?" I was dying with curiosity.

"Sophie..."

I didn't even let him finish the sentence. I was panicking. Sophie what? Did something happen to her? Is she ok?

As if reading my mind. "She's ok. It's just that, she remembers something."

"What is it?"

"When you confesed you loved her? Remember"

"Well of course i f*cking remember, i love her." I was getting angry. What is he trying to tell me?

"She remembers that. But she still doesn't know who you are. She remembers Bri, Lindsay and even me. But..."

I crashed on the floor. How could she remember all of them, and not me? The one who made her days at camp the best days of her life. The one shen went to the dance with. The one who confesed he loved her.... I drifted of to thinking. I did all those things. Yes, they were good things. But i also...

I left her alone when she needed me. I lied to her. I got away from her because on my interest on another one. She trusted me.

I broke that trust....
