life in mexico was a bittersweet topic. don't get us wrong we loved being able to do what we wanted when we wanted, but it was just the two of us , we got bored.
a few months after we moved in our next door neighbor max finally decided to introduce himself.
the doorbell rang and i walked downstairs to answer it. a boy who looked to be about 5'10 or 5'11 stood at my door, he had luscious curly blonde hair and his makeup was absolutely stunning.
"girlie you gonna stare or are you gonna speak" he said smiling at me.
"oh right sorry, hi! im makayla, i moved in with my girlfriend a few months ago"
"ouuu? another gay in the neighborhood?? we gotta stick together cause you know this is a white ass republican neighborhood" he said.
"really ? in mexico? omg .. why don't you come in i just thought about making food too" i said opening the door wide enough for him to come in.
he walked in and i led him to the living room, not long after jada walked downstairs. "hi my love, who's this?".
"This is max, our next door neighbor, he's lives in the big pink house across the street"
max waves at jada, and she smiles and sits on couch. "Well, ill leave you two to bond, were out of mozzarella, I'll be back." I said, slipping my crocs on kissing jada on her head and grabbing my keys.
Jada's POV:
"so what's the deal for real, because this whole rainbows and cupcakes story she gave me ain adding up" max said giving me a look.
"uhh ionk wha to tell you cause i mean it's simple, we ain like life in the states, it was bad for our mental health, so we ran away here, I know she's depressed though, I try my best to keep her occupied but I don't know." I said shrugging my shoulders.
"surprise , maybe she likes those" he said
"with what? ive bought her everything she wants, she hates when I spend money on her, she thinks I'm doing to much" I said rolling my eyes.
"okay then what have you given her that doesn't cost money?"
"uhh, my love, my life, s-" he cut me off
"I don't even want you to finish the sentence, and when yall do that, does she seem relieved?" he asked seeming genuine.
"yea she gets all cute and sleepy and we'll prolly cuddle and watch a movie"
"exactly, that's probably the way she copes with things, next time she gets in a mood, be extra flirtacious, see what happens" he said
then we started talking about the quality of the neighborhoods and people in them, he told me about another girl, named analia that he's friends with, maybe we'll all be friends idk, shortly after that makayla came back with the mozzarella, and went straight to the kitchen to finish cooking.
"damnnnn your girl can throw downnnnn" he said smelling in the freshly baked pizza
"this ain nothin compared to my spaghetti, watch tommorow ima show you" i said huffing.
"jadaaa, max, cmon it's time to eat" makayla yelled poking her head out of the door frame.
me and max got up and walked into the kitchen and sat down at the table, we ended up talking alot and max seemed like a great guy, he was funny, and he seemed to have helped me through a issue tonight. we also talked about ana, the one max said he would introduce me to, max said he would take us all to the beach tommorow, so hey idk maybe we're starting to yk actually have something to do here.
