The piercing sun rays shone brightly upon my skin. It was a Sunday afternoon and Namra had called me to fill up a spot for a missing co-worker at the cafe. Truthfully, I only worked Fridays and Saturdays there now, but since Namra was my friend, I couldn't refuse her call. After all, I was still making that extra money.

"3 more hours" I looked at the clock, I was filling in the afternoon shift, which only ended at 10pm.

The cafe seemed to be quite full today, so I had to move quicker than usual. This place was remarkably adored by me. The smell of fresh coffee, the sweet desserts and the lean music in the background, everything made up an atmosphere I so much appreciated.

"Thank you so much for helping me, Moonri. I don't know how I would have survived this day on my own given how packet it is" Namra approached me, seeming more tiredly than before.

It was hard for the both of us, that's for sure. We were the only workers to take up the waitress job, since the other co-worker, Kijoon, had to take up everybody's orders.

The 3 hours passed by rapidly. Once the Sun started to set, I knew I would be able to set off to go home soon as well.

"All customers are gone, let's close up now" Namra cheered.

I offered to take out the trash, since Namra seemed too exhausted to do it. We made it out of the door, and Namra locked it safely.

"Let me help you with the trash" Namra offered, but I declined her nicely.

"No no don't worry, I can do it. You go home and rest"

"But-" a drop of rain fell on my face.

"No buts, see, it's even raining. Go now" I waved her off and went in the back of the alley to sort out the trash.

"Finally, I'm done" I let out a deep puff, cracking my neck from left to right.

One, two.

 Three.

A third crack? Was that me?

Or perhaps the rain that was getting heaving?

It sounded too delayed to be a double crack from my neck.

A rush of weary suddenly filled me up. I was now debating whether to turn my head around or not. Something eerie, something hidden in the darkness, made me question the existence of a third party in my presence.
