Dreams from 19 June 2019

A fresh face appeared in the classroom, introducing herself as Ms Pang, the new physical education teacher. Word started to spread among the students about her diving skills, with rumors suggesting she had passed an impressive diving test prior to joining the school. However, a video surfaced showing her faltering during a jump, casting doubt on her abilities. In response, the students issued a challenge, stating that if she couldn't dive properly, they would not accept her as their teacher.

Ms Pang courageously accepted the challenge, accompanied by another teacher who would evaluate her performance. One student, donning swim gear, joined her by the water while the others observed. Ms Pang executed three dives flawlessly: one from the ground and two from a trampoline, reaching heights that seemed impossible. The student in swim gear even retrieved a carrot from the water, which left Ms Pang feeling slightly disgusted.

Having proven her diving skills, the students recognized her as their teacher. Curiosity piqued, Ms Pang inquired about a nearby ruined statue they had come across earlier. One student, visibly frightened by the statue, admitted to breaking it and witnessing something he felt should remain unseen. Ms Pang couldn't help but wonder about the secrets hidden within the statue.

A week later, during a field trip focused on horse riding, one student hesitated to mount the horse, causing his classmates to mock him. Observing his apprehension, Ms Pang kept a close eye on him, sensing there was more to his fear. Suddenly, a classmate's horse went wild due to a prank, leaving everyone unable to regain control. In a surprising turn of events, the hesitant student expertly rode a horse to rescue his classmate. Ms Pang approached him, curious to know why he had seemed so fearful before.

The student revealed that horse riding had been a cherished family pastime during his younger years. However, his father's intense training had traumatized him, leading him to swear off horse riding. Although he was not afraid of the horse, he remained true to his vow.

Ms Pang continued to assist the class with their various challenges, gradually earning their trust and becoming a respected and trusted teacher.
