A chip in the operation

we were hotboxed in my small car, it had been an hour, Wally was fucked up and since this was my first time i already greened out. Wally was going on about how his cat got hit by car and shit like that, while i felt like i was floating.

"yeah and then he kind of just laid there...Like smushed..." He said and looked at me.

"Uhhhuhh..." I blinked one eye at a time and looked at him.

He started to laugh and i laughed with him, soon we were crackling up so bad we fell into each other's embrace. We kept laughing and i looked up at him once or snorting and giggling calmed down, he looked down at me and smiled and played with my hair.

"You're my bestest friend you know that..." He smiled.

"Friend? i thought we were more than that?" I said teasingly.

"What makes you think that...? cuz of a little flirting, that was just to get you to feel better and come back to work-" He chuckled "Something more, yeah in your dreams..." He mumbled.

My smile faded and backed away, pulling out of his embrace.

"so..everything all this flirting was just... just to get me to go back to work?" I asked.

"well yeah, i mean Julie told me that you had a thing for me, and i took advantage of it, what did you think i actually liked you?" He smiled in a confused way.

"well..yeah. I did." I mumbled.

"well- i-i don't." He mumbled, i looked over and noticed his face was red.

was it just him being high was making him say stupid stuff? did he really like me? was Eddie, right? i was starting to believe he was. I felt tears roll down my face. I took a deep breath and opened the car door and fell out of it trying to get out. Smoke flew out of the car and wally looked at me confused.

"Where are you going?" He asked confused.

"I-..I'm going to go. I'll see you tomarrow ok? I'll be at work, 5 am sharp." I turned and began to walk away.

Wally got out of the car and followed me.

"where are you going though? I-I'm sorry if i said something to hurt you-" He stuttered.

"Well maybe you should watch what you say then. Words are like eggs, once they fall there is no taking them back unless you get lucky." I sped up my pace trying to get away. 

Wally grabbed my arm and pulled me into a hug.

"I-..I just wanted you back at work that's all...I do- i- ya know..." He mumbled.

I frowned and pushed him away. "You what Wally?" I asked.

"i.." His face went red, and he looked at the ground rubbing his neck, he seemed nervous.

I sighed "Bye Wally." I turned and began to walk away.

Wally sighed and looked at the ground his fists in a ball, he walked back to the car.

Wallys POV:

I walked back to the car and got in slamming the door. Why couldn't i get it out? why was it so fucking hard to tell them that..I really did like them. Julie was right, I've fallen hard. But i don't exactly want to jump into it. I don't want to get hurt again. 

I looked out the window seeing Y/n was gone, i really fucked up this time. I thought she didn't like me, or i was unsure of it. I'm not the best with reading feelings ok. I took a deep breath feeling dizzy, i looked at my feet and then i saw a small drop of water fall onto my leg, leaving a dark blue dot.
