Spencer's pov:
I wake up to dad muttering "we don't need this." Then throwing what is now scrap metel.
I could use that...
I don't pay too much attention to the pair as I am using my arm strength to get myself out of the bed and onto the floor. I still need to make my other leg. I search through the boxes and bags, my side still sore from being kicked. I go off of my blue print and start working.
---------------
A few hours later, I take note that dad is working on something for himself to stay alive. By knowing my father, and the idea he briefly told me was that he was going to remake an arc reactor. But miniaturized. It's genius when you think about, I watch has him and yinsen are bringing what looks like a cup from the fire.
I continue putting my leg together. I see that I have it mostly in place, just adding a few extra joints that aren't needed, but it will make it smoother to walk, especially because both legs are rusting slightly and are filled with sand.
Let's see how this will end, shall we?
I finish the leg and prop it up next to my bed as I crawl my way over to it.
I grab some ripped up dirty paper and a pencil, I put it on the bed. It'll track how many attempts I need until I can actually walk in this. It could take days, months.
Years.
Just depending on how long we are here. Let's hope it's for a short run.
I grab the legs and put them on peice by peice.
Soon enough I had them put together on the hinge. Then I realized.
I can't move them. I don't even have a half of my abdomen how cs i move my legs, I don't have a nub or even part of a thigh.
I groan not wanting to do this anymore I just take the legs off lay on my bed, then look over at my dad and yinsen huddled up in front of a table, I see a blue iridescent glow. Must be the arc reactor.
I sigh, grab the notes of my new not working legs.
Then, I get an idea.
"Hey, dad~" I spoke
"Mhm." He replied looking back at me,
"How do you feel about helping me with a surgery." I smile innocently at him and he just furrows his eyebrows."What."
"Listen, I have an idea and since I don't have a nub or anything, I can just, eh. Use my nerves..."
He looks at my dumb struck. "I'm sorry, what?"
"Yeah, like-" "No, I know what your talking about but how did you think of that?"
"I don't know it was just something that came to mind." I look at him once more with a begging look.
"Please..." He just nods knowing that I shouldn't be aloud to love my life without walking around some more."Okay. I'll see what I can do." He turns back to yinsen with a worried expression, mentally asking for his help with this, he nods aswell, I turn on my side and fall asleep.

Tony's pov:
My sight lingers on my daughter, I know what her idea is. And I'm pretty sure I know how to do it, but I really can't hurt her. I already have my miniaturized arc reactor, I'm ready to start building the suit but I need to take care of Spencer first.
I flip her over on her back and inject her with Rohpnol (flunitrazepam) to make sure she doesn't wake up whilst this procedure.
---------------
About 2 hours later yinsen is helping me as we connect her nerves and nervous system to the legs as she can use her senses and brain to move them, the only part we can do this with is the thigh so the rest of the leg will work with gravity and the joints.
