Dedicated to Stan
The prettiest bird
that I have ever heard sing
perched by my window
while I gazed blankly
into my world of daydreams
without much thinking
then it registered
I'd spotted a purple finch
it was beautiful

A/N I composed this little Haiku poem for my special girlfriend, Janet, whose husband
of many years sadly passed away on the morning after Father's Day after a heroic
battle with cancer. He will be sadly missed by his devoted family and many friends.
