You entered your dorm room with Enid and shut the door close. You then threw your bag to your bed and looked at the floor, seeing a place tape in the middle of the room, separating the two sides.

"What the hell did you do to my room?" Enid asks Wednesday while you just looked at the window mesmerized by the colors, rainbow on the other side, and colorless on the other one.

You walked up to your desk and pulled out your laptop, turning it on.

"Enid, silence would be appreciated, this is my writing time." Both you and Wednesday said it, at the same time, in sync.

'Wow' You thought, 'did she just- say the same words I said?'

You looked at Wednesday, then at Enid.

"You two's writing time?" Enid asks both you and Wednesday and turned to you. "Since when did you write Y/N?" She asks you in fascination.

You sighed and pinched the bridge of your nose.

"Just a few weeks ago Enid." You explained to her, and you sat down on your chair, pulling your sleeves and began to type.

"I devote an hour a day to my novel." Wednesday spoke to Enid while working on her typewriter. "Perhaps if you did the same, your vlog might be coherent. "I've read serial killer diaries with better punctuation." She added.

"I write in my voice." Enid claimed, "It's my truth. It's what my followers love."

"Your followers are clearly imbeciles." Wednesday spoke up.

There we go, now they're arguing. You thought to yourself and chuckled.

"They respond to your stories with insipid little pictures." Wednesday added.

"Uh, you mean emojis?" Enid asks her, "It's how people express their feelings. I realize that's a foreign concept to you."

You stifled a laugh then shook your head, their argument seemed childish to you.

"When I look at you, the following emojis come to mind. Rope, shovel, hole." Wednesday said. "By the way, there are two Ds in Addams. If you're going to gossip about me, at least spell my name correctly."

As Wednesday turned to go back to her writing, Enid decided to play a peppy pop song, which made Wednesday irritated.

"Turn that off." Wednesday warned her, but Enid just kept on dancing. "This is your final warning." Wednesday spoke up as she approached Enid. But before she can do anything else Enid showed her claws.

"Rawr! This kitty's got claws, and I'm not afraid to use them."

Then the door was opened by none other than Miss Thornhill, the botany class teacher and your mother.

"Good evening girls, Y/N." Miss Thornhill greeted you all as she stepped inside the room, holding a black dahlia in a pot. "I wanted to make sure that Wednesday and Y/N was settling in perfectly. I think the both of you suit each other very much." Miss Thornhill said to you and smiled a teasing smile.

'Matchmaker'  You thought and just rolled your eyes at her last statement.

Miss Thornhill politely smiled at you and turned to look at Wednesday. she's been trying to match you up with random boys and girls that she thinks may suit you.

"And Wednesday, I apologize I wasn't there to greet you when you arrived. I was busy with Y/N." Miss Thornhill spoke to Wednesday.

"I trust Enid has given you the old Nevermore welcome." Miss Thornhill spoke to Wednesday before turning to look at you, mouthing the words 'Has she?' to which you just shrugged.

"She's been smothering me with hospitality. I hope to return the favor." Wednesday said making Miss Thornhill smile, but her smile dropped once Wednesday said the last sentence. "In her sleep."

"I see." Miss Thornhill said before looking at you, then back to Wednesday. "And what about Y/N?" She asks and shoots you a wink.

"Mom-" Wednesday cut you off replying to your mother, "Y/N's fine, I think I may have found myself a new acquaintance." Wednesday smirks seeing your horrified expression.

"Well, here's a little welcome gift from my conservatory. I try to match the right flower to each of my girls." Your mother looked at you before stating "Y/N's was a Gardenia Flower. That's because she is one of the most delightful people to be around. She's fun, loving, supportive, and overall, a good friend to hang out with and talk to. She can easily empathize with those around her, sometimes taking their own troubles and pain upon herself. However, she also gets hurt extremely easily -- which leads to needlessly intense pain and anguish-"

"Mom!" You cut her off. Realizing what you did, you looked down on the floor. Feeling guilt, everything she said was true though. But you don't want people to talk about your weaknesses and downsides.

"Anyways, Wednesday, when I read your personal statement in your application, I immediately thought of this one." She brings the flower closer to Wednesday.

"The black dahlia." Wednesday said as she looked at the flower and took it in her arms.

"Oh, you know it?" Miss Thornhill asks, clearly not expecting Wednesday to immediately recognize this flower.

"Of course. it's named after my favorite unsolved murder." Wednesday replied to Miss Thornhill before saying a 'thank you' to her.

"Okey-dokey. Before I leave, I want to go over a few house rules. Lights off at 10:00, no loud music, and no boys, ever." Miss Thornhill said before motioning for you to continue whatever you were doing.

"Really? New acquaintance?" You asked Wednesday, "More like new distraction or something."

"Don't be a jerk Y/N." Wednesday told you.

"I- wow... Okay."
