The Tale Of Magic Portal

Chapter 13

𝐑𝐞𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐁𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐲

And she disappears in the light...

Sky returned home with a mix of emotions, though she was physically back with her family she was always concerned about Jonas but as she promised her dad that she would no longer use the portal, deep within her she had that one day they might meet again, and her longing grew stronger, so she thought to take the matters into her own hands, to support her family and save up for a journey to California, Sky started working at her dad's convenience store as a part-timer.

On the other side:-

After the accident, Jonas made a successful recovery from his injuries. Months passed, during which he underwent medical treatments and the unwavering support of his family and friends. Despite his physical healing, his thoughts often drifted towards Sky, wondering where she was and how she was doing.

One night, as Jonas found himself lost in thoughts of Sky, he walked to his closet, almost instinctively. To his surprise, the magic portal reappeared, It seemed that fate had granted him another chance to find Sky, and he couldn't resist the opportunity.

Stepping through the portal, Jonas found himself in the familiar forest. Guided by his heart and memories, he followed an instinctive path, which led him to Sky's family home. As he made his way closer to the house, his eyes caught a glimpse of Sky, standing near the porch with her family. Sky's eyes widened in disbelief as she saw Jonas approaching. the moment he saw her he couldn't control himself and he runs towards her and hugs her

Sky's father, Edward, exchanged puzzled glances with her younger brother, Alex. They were taken aback by this unexpected visitor. Edward stepped forward, his expression was cautious yet curious.

Edward: "Who are you, young man? And what brings you here?"

Jonas, still overwhelmed with emotion, managed to gather his thoughts.

Jonas: "I'm Jonas, and I... I came through a magical portal. Sky and I... we met before, and I needed to find her again. It's hard to explain, but she means a lot to me.

Edward studied Jonas for a moment, observing the sincerity in his eyes and the earnestness in his voice. He glanced at Sky, who nodded reassuringly.

Sky: "Dad, he's telling the truth. Jonas is a friend I met during a difficult time. I didn't expect him to find this place."

Edward: "Sky he used the portal, doesn't he know about it?"

Sky: "No Dad, he doesn't."

Jonas is confused about what are they talking about. And what is it that he is unaware of? And why does everyone look so upset about it?

Jonas: "Excuse me, I... I know I showed up randomly but may I know what are you guys talking about?"

Sky: "Jonas! I told you right in the letter to not use the portal then..."

Sky gets interpreted by Edward

Edward asks Alex to go inside so that he doesn't know about anything they are talking about, Alex is really curious about how a random person came out of nowhere and he somehow knows Sky and he wants to know what they are talking about and what was that yeah... a portal, but still he goes inside as he father sounded a little serious.

Edward: "Anyways you already came here now so the best way to keep out anything dangerous is to send you back from wherever you came from, so I request you J..Jonas to please leave and never use that thing again, I know I may sound rude but this is for your own safety."

Sky is disappointed and emotional that Jonas has to leave no matter what it's for his own good she already caused him a lot of trouble she doesn't want anything to happen to him because of her.

Jonas: "But?? Sir! Please can I a least talk to Sky before I leave please sir it won't take too long?"

Sky: "Dad, please trust us. I will explain everything, and I promise Jonas won't use the portal again, and then he can go back."

Edward hesitated for a moment, his worry evident, but he knew his daughter had grown into a responsible young woman and the guy seemed genuine and trustworthy, and also it took him to the days when he met Sky's mom.

Edward: "Alright, but make it quick. I want to understand the situation and ensure everyone's safety, also don't go deep in the forest it's dangerous there is a beach nearby you guys can talk there."

Jonas: "How are you?"

Sky: "I am fine what about you how are your injuries gone now? are you completely fine now?"

Jonas: "Wait how do you know about my accident?"

Sky: "Everyone does! thanks to you being so famous, I saw the news and I was really worried."

Jonas: "Well yeah.. can I tell you something? It's not like your fault I am just telling you this, obviously, it was my fault but the... the accident happened after you left, I was so depressed that you left that I couldn't control myself."

Sky: "What?!! (She starts crying) I am so...sorry Jonas that I left like that I wanted you to be happy and I staying there was just causing you trouble and I was not meant to be there in the first place so I left."

Jonas: " No it was nothing like that and SKY VESPERTINE I AM HAPPY WHEN I AM WITH YOU! And you never caused me any trouble I enjoyed your company, and why do you think you were not meant to be there why do you think the portal bought you to me instead of UCLA, I know this might sound crazy but It was in our destiny to meet! and I wanted to tell you something for a very long but I never got a chance I was going to tell you at that party but you left, so now I'll tell you this clearly since the day you left I was so depressed I don't even remember a day I smiled with all my heart everything was so dull and sad but when I was with you I was always so happy and felt something extraordinary, I can't imagine my life without you in it. These months have only strengthened my feelings for you, and I know deep down that I'm in love with you."

Sky's eyes glistened with emotion as she looked at Jonas, her heart racing, this was the moment she realized how in love is she with him and she feels the same for him, she forgets everything that was going on around her the portal, the limit, the only thing she wants is this moment to stay forever and the words come out of her mouth automatically...

Sky: "Jonas, I've felt the same way since the day we met. You've been there for me when no one else was, and I've missed you every single day. I love you too."

At that moment, as the waves crashed against the shore, Jonas and Sky shared a tender embrace, their hearts full of love and longing...
