Yellow Carnation

Petals by petals I drown,
In this bright yellow floral river.
The current pushes me further,
Away from the blossom tree.

Keep me in the dark,
Hold me down in the dumps.
Push me, kick me, fight me.
I've long given up on myself.

I am no one.
I have no laughs left to give,
I have no mouth left to feed.
So let me be...
