~Everything happens for a reason. You just need patience to connect all the dots.
We still had our activity to do.
"I'm sorry." I told him as I saw him sitting there at the library. He looked at me for a second, with heavy eyes.
"For?"
"it's my fault too."
"that it is, always. What did you do this time?" He asked as if a mom would ask her son on mischiefs he's done.
On top of that he crossed his legs, leaning back on the chair, raising his eyebrows and his hands in a thinking manner.
"You gave your assignment on my name."
"No, I didn't."
Damn that 'didn't'. He had this British mixed American accent and when those certain words that he pronounced in British accent with that husky deep voice, it sends shrill through my body.
"Then where is yours?"
"I didn't do it."
"As you say." I said and took a seat across him.
He hates it when he's being praised or when someone find out he did something good or helped people. So, I did not drag it further.
I know he knows that I exactly know what I'm talking about, and he knows I know that he did do that, and he isn't accepting it.
"Let's finish the assignment." I said.
I sat across him and he took out the chart and supplies and spread it over the table.
"We require A4 papers not a chart." I said.
"We're supposed to do this in the chart." He said.
"yeah, but I mean we're going to do your assignment, the one which you dint finish I assume."
He gave a small sarcastic chuckle and under his breath he told:
"I'm gonna kill Luke." Which I decided to ignore.
"Is that a miracle that I'm seeing Archer Kalvien smile?!" I asked him surprisingly.
"Stop with the full name."
"Sure kal-."
"I said shut up."
"Okay now start with the work." I said.
We continued doing the assignment. Nicely helping each other and working together in silence. Only things spoken were about the assignment. Then he spoke.
"I ain't telling thank you for this." He said referring to the assignment.
"I won't take it even if you tell." I replied.
"You'll take sorry alone uh?"
"of course, I mean imagine you telling sorry."
"That's injustice for Thank you."
"You're not going to tell it anyways." I said.
"Now I do."
"And that's how you make someone tell thank you. I take back my sorry."
"Why the hell?"
"That is because this assignment makes up for my sorry, so you don't have to tell thankyou either."
"So that's how it's settled, I see. We are literally acting like kids here. In fact even kiddish than kids."
"Do you wanna act like adults then?" I asked with a huge smirk, looking right at him. Trying my best to control my laughter.
He got up from his chair, his eyes not leaving mine and walked towards my chair. Keeping his hands on the back of my chair and leaning closer to me just inches from touching and he whispered in my ears-
"Oh no honey, you cannot deal with me if I act like one." he said giving a cold smirk and smoothly took the finished work and walked past me.
What the hell was that?
I was literally sitting there not knowing what to do. My eyes followed him walk by with a weird expression on my face.
Next day in school, even I tried to do the same thing, simply for fun. I talked with a smirk.
"Do you wanna play Archer?" I asked him with a smirk.
"Why are you even doing this? You know you can't be me, so don't try." He said.
God, he is so full of himself. And that was so embarrasing.
"Try my foot! First of you don't even talk like that." I said normally.
"Okay, could you get the assignment done fast so that I could be free?" He asked.
His mood also is quite very changeable.
"No." I replied.
"Haha. I know you will."
"Haha. Just because you told I won't." I looked at him with pride for some reason.
And he gave a death glare, and I went on giving a huge smile for it right on his face.
It's called fire baby fire~ Its fun making him angry.
"From when did you start reading books though?" I asked him.
"I don't read books."
"I saw you reading a book that day in library."
"Oh, that day. I had a phone inside the book, I was listening to songs and simply flipping the pages." He replied.
"Oh my god."
One thing was known, that after this whole thing that happened, we finally started talking more to each other, maybe not much about ourselves but still. And our pranks became less but us making fun of each other became more.
Okay, those are three things.
