"jamie, i'm coming over!" reese told the brunette the moment he answered the phone. he didn't even get the chance to say hello.

the defenseman furrowed his eyebrows and asked, "wait, why? what's going on?"

trevor just so happened to be walking by at this time and snapped his head at jamie's confused and worried voice. he has no idea who he was talking to but was determined to find out. trevor stood beside jamie and tried listening in. this resulted in jamie shooing trevor away.

"dude, just tell me who it is!" trevor whined.

jamie mouthed 'reese' just as the blonde girl answered him. she replied, "i'll explain when i get there! are you the only one home?"

"no, trevor is here too. is that alright?" jamie questioned. at this point, trevor is begging jamie to put reese on speaker phone. the dark haired boy shook his head.

jamie heard reese say, "yeah, that's fine. anyways, i'm almost there so i'll see you soon." the line then dropped. jamie's mouth was left open wide. not only could he believe that she called him, but she also hung up on him abruptly.

trevor stared at his best friend. jamie was absolutely speechless. "what the fuck just happened? is she coming over?" trevor continued to question his teammate.

the brunette stared at trevor and responded, "i'm not really entirely sure as to what just happened, but reese is coming over and she doesn't sound too happy."

"there must be drama," the hockey forward shrugged and took a seat on the couch. he had a creeping suspicion this had something to do with austin and colten. although, it may not always look like it, trevor could be quite smart at times. because of this, trevor decided to make himself comfortable and wait for the girl to come knocking on their door.

the exact opposite could be said about jamie. while trevor was acting cool and soaking in the calm before the potential storm, jamie looked like he was on verge of having a mental breakdown. "come sit, jamie. you look stressed," trevor patted the seat next to him. jamie reluctantly obliged. trevor asked, "what seems to be the problem?"

"for starters, reese is clearly upset and i have absolutely no idea why. and now she's coming over and i don't feel prepared at all," jamie explained. he was feeling so many emotions right now that he didn't know where to begin.

trevor, on the other hand, knew exactly what jamie was going through. without fully meaning to, trevor let out an obnoxious laugh. jamie furrowed his eyebrows. he felt like his best friend was laughing at him and was extremely confused and offended. "what's so funny?" he questioned.

"you are so extremely whipped for this girl," trevor felt like he was stating the obvious. jamie stared at him as if he was speaking a foreign language. trevor rolled his eyes and continued, "it does not take a genius to realize that you have feelings for reese. the fact that you're freaking out about her coming over is a huge tell."

jamie responded slightly offended, "you know, i'm an empathetic person. whatever one person feels, i feel."

"all i'm hearing are excuses. sooner or later you're going to realize you love her and when that happens i'm going to tell you 'told you so.' just be warned," trevor shook his head.

luckily for jamie, there was a knock at the door. he did not want to continue this conversation with trevor. jamie did not like reese like that. he thought of her as a friend, a very attractive friend, but only a friend nonetheless.

jamie opened the door to find a distressed and pissed off reese. he never had the chance to say anything because she immediately walked passed him, straight to the couch. trevor saw the mood she was in and slowly scooted himself to the opposite end of the couch. he knew better than to get too close. jamie was still standing by the front door when trevor gave him a look that told him to get his ass over to the couch and deal with reese.

"so why exactly are you here?" jamie asked reese when he took a seat next to trevor. his best friend elbowed him.

trevor smiled, "what jamie meant to say was thank you so much for gracing us with your presence. how may we help you?"

"i need to rant," reese blankly stated.

jamie and trevor looked at one another, not entirely sure where this was going to go. they were both confused as to why they were the ones getting the rant and not someone like willow, austin, or colten. jamie replied, "okay, go for it."

reese sighed, "jamie, you're really not going to like this at all."

"why him and not me?" trevor questioned for his roommate.

the blonde responded, "because for whatever reason they loved you, trevor. and they adored mason. but jamie, they had nothing to nice to say about him or essentially nothing at all."

trevor was shocked. never in his life had he met someone that did not like jamie. he was easy to be around and got along with everyone. trevor understood that jamie can be really shy at first and not say much, but no one had ever complained about that. jamie was feeling the same way as trevor and asked, "did i do something wrong?"

reese was frustrated and rubbed her face while saying, "you didn't talk enough to them. that's what they're saying."

"i mean that is true, jimmy. although, you talked to everyone during clue, so that has to count as something," trevor rambled.

reese was not paying attention though. she could not believe that her friends were so quick to approve of trevor and mason, but refused to say anything nice about jamie. he was an angel. what was bothering her even more was colten's comment. she could not understand why he was so focused on the two of them not dating.

"oh, and get this, colten told me to not date jamie. as if that was even part of the discussion at all," reese laughed. not a 'i think this is hilarious' laugh, but an annoyed laugh.

jamie frowned, "did i really make that bad of an impression?"

"this is ridiculous, i'll go text the two of them," trevor stood up and left the room. he could hear reese and jamie saying it wasn't necessary, but this was petty shit. trevor was a pretty easy going, but never mess with his friends or family. he was going to have a nice chat with austin and colten.
