"What if something had happened to you ?" He had asked her.
"Would it have made a difference ?" Her soft, broken voice had asked.

It did matter. It did. His heart screamed as he looked for her. His guts were clenching in an uneasy feel of dread. Something was wrong, very wrong.

Serkan hated himself, he hated seeing the pain in her eyes and he hated himself for causing it.

"Eda ?" He called out again, climbing up a rock wall. "Eda ?" He called again before his eyes fell on a sight that sucked the breath out of his lungs.

Eda was laying unconscious, in the hole of a pit.

"Eda.." He let out more alarmingly this time as he carefully climbed down the pit with her.

"Eda ?" He removed a tree that had fallen atop her and his breath left his lungs, heart constricting as he looked up at her face and craddled it.

"Eda ??" He touched her cheeks, gently trying to wake her, and moved her head. To his horror, when he did, his hand came back soaked in crimson. Her head was bleeding.

"Eda, bak bana.." He pleaded, voice cracking as he cradled her soft cheeks. Her unconscious and unsresponsiveness distressed him.

"Bana bak, Eda.." He tried again, tapping her cheek softly, and when he got no response, he checked her wrist for a pulse. It was there, slow, but there.

"Eda lütfen..." He begged, craddling her cheek and looked around for help, there was no one.

He knew he shouldn't move her while she was bleeding from the head. If she was bleeding inside the head too, there were risks moving her bruskly could worsen the damage.

Serkan gulped, getting out his phone as he held her close, he dialled an ambulance that give them instructions, and when he specified their location, they said they'd send a helicopter immediately, it would take too long for the ambulance to reach that far out of the city.

Damn Efe and his vacation idea. Serkan cursed as he looked back at Eda's unconscious face. She was so precious to him, she didn't knew how much beloved she was, he loved her so much.

He hadn't ever loved anyone this much, his heart painfully squeezed in his chest and Serkan did his best to control his tears.

"Eda... gitme. Gitme aşkım." He pleaded, kissing the top of her forehead, his voice breaking as he used the words that also carried the allegory of his love confession to her.

He cradled her face and forearm in gentle caresses, anxiously waiting for the helicopter. 4 minutes. From his watch's timing. But those 4 minutes were an eternity.

He sat with her on the way to the Hospital, never leaving the wrist he was holding as he now craddled her hand with both of his, occasionally kissing the tiny star shaped tattoo on the back of her palm.

How irresponsive she was, and seeing her hooked to wires and injections made her look so fragile and vulnerable. He wanted to craddle her soul and protect it from the cruelty of this world.

What if something happened to her ? What is she died, without knowing how much he loved her. Serkan beat himself mentally, recalling each hurtful word he had spit at her. First, during their argument at the brunch, and then, later that eve. He regretted hurting her so much.

He should have just told her, he should have believed in their love, or at least, trusted her enough to make her own decision. He regretted terribly now. Nothing was worse than imagining her slipping away thinking he never loved her and used her.

He loved her so so much. If only she could wake up, for him to repair his mistake. "Gitme Eda.." He whispered the plea again. "Lütfen, gitme." He openly allowed himself to cry. Kissing her fingers again, where the flower ring still sat on her middle finger.
