The air around the Novan's felt like it was suffocating them. Time was passing by way too slowly for Ev's liking and the stares she and her family were being given by the Cullen's was not helpful.

From the moment the Cullen's sat down beside them, they have done nothing but stare and hold their hands against their faces. They didn't even do their work which the teacher wasn't too happy about.

When the bell rang, the Cullen's took off, quite literally flying from their seats and out the door. Everyone watched on in confusion, looking between the door and the Novan's. Everyone had been watching the interaction between the two families for the entire duration of class so they were curious on what the new family had said or done to make them take off so fast.

Now I know you must be wondering why the coven was acting the way they did when Evan and her family were vampires as well. Let's let Evangeline tell us—

"Well at least we know the scents work!" Vianna said laughing, breaking the everlong silence. school was over and we were now driving home, the others following behind. "Yep!" Marco agreed, laughing in the car behind us. "Maybe they're too strong because they acted as if we were bleeding out" I laughed, the others joining in. We went back to the silence for a few minutes before Addie could be heard warning us in our minds. "guys, we've got some company" I looked into my side mirror and as we pulled around the bend I saw it. There behind Marco's car was a grey Jeep, followed by a grey Volvo and a red convertible.

Great.

Tapping each one of fingers on the steering wheel- left to right- three times, I slammed my foot on the petal and my vehicle took off, speeding down the road faster then ever. My siblings who understood our secret signal were quick to follow my movements. Up head there was a right turn which we were quick to take. Same with the other vamps following us. The next turn we took was a left turn, then another left.

It's been 12 minutes and they're still following us but we were beginning to lose them. We were currently on the highway and were only 5 minutes away from home. At this point we were doing anything to lose them and we weren't hiding it either, swerving in and out between the other vehicles.

I wasn't really worried about them following us and knowing where we lived but rather them funding out that we are vampire's too. I wasn't keen on talking with other vampire's or being around them. I didn't give single fuck I they were my mate either. I wasn't going to befriend some vampire coven while we were here. Fuck no.

Luckily we had lost then and were able to make that quick yet sharp left turn into our driveway. We all pulled up to the house and immediately got out going our separate ways. Later we would  all go hunting just to keep our thirst under control.

While my siblings went to do their own things, I went out into the forest. Once I had walked deep enough I began running at an un-human pace. To any humans that were out here in the deep forest where it's no longer safe, I would be a whoosh and a blur.

I know some people wouldn't wish to live as a vampire but I personally wouldn't have it any other way. I loved being able to run through the trees, being able to see every spec of dust, every droplet of rain or mist, being able to sense things from miles away. This life was amazing and I couldn't be anymore thankful.

As I was running I came across a rather calm stream with small Grey scaled fish swimming through. It was a beautiful sight in all honesty but I mean that just because I'm a vampire. If human me saw this I wouldn't have stopped, seeing as just an ordinary stream. Knowing I wasn't in a rush to get anywhere, I chose to follow the stream which lead me straight to a cliff overlooking the sea. It was beautiful especially when it was paired with the burning orange of the sky.
