Knock knock knockin' on heaven's door! Knock knock knockin' on heaven's door!
The music blared through out the truck as we raced down the roads of Forks towards its high-school. All windows were rolled down and our hair was blowing around wildly. Today there was no rain but the clouds were still existent, giving that ever so gloomy feeling that Forks carries.
After last night's events in Canada, we were silent, not speaking a word to one another. Why? I don't know honestly, kinda makes me laugh. Today felt different though. I felt as though something big was gonna happen- something important. We pulled into the school parking lot in our usual spot, still getting a shit eating amount of stares but we ignored them -like always- and made our way inside to our lockers. We pulled out the books and materials we would need for our morning periods and spilt up, going to our individual classes. Today I was starting with Dance, then art, drama, and music. My first class was in building 3 so it was just next door. I shared this class with only two of the Cullen children- Rosalie and Alice. Walking in, there were many students stretching who would look up just to glance at who came in before going back to minding there on business, these were the students I liked.
With my bag slung over my shoulder, I walked over to a corner in the room and began stretching and doing my warm-up routine.
Eventually the teacher walked-in and began talking. "Morning everyone. Let's take some attendance and we'll began the day." He began calling out names in alphabetical order. "Miss Evangeline Novan?" He called, "Minette-Novan. Present." I corrected him but he ignored it and went on to call out the other names. "Alright. Today I'm going to assign you to two partners. Once you get together with your partners, you're going to create a school appropriate dance. The song choice is up to your Trio, the only thing you guys will need to include is a high, a medium and a low. Whether that be a needle, bridge and a splits or a stomp, clap and a jump." Some of the others began chuckling finding the teacher to be amusing. "Sorry sir, but this is a high school, we aren't 4. A stomp, clap and a jump isn't something any of us would add to a dance." More snickering erupted but was silenced once they received a pointed look from Monsieur Dubois. "Well Miss Cameron, not everybody is the same much less a copy of you. Not everyone has danced as long as you have nor have do they have the ability to be as flexible." He said in his thick-french accent. He gave her a tight lipped smile as students began to giggle quietly while Anastasia Cameron sat there humiliated.
While students continued to giggle, he walked over to the side of the classroom and picked up a clipboard and a duotang/folder. "Let's start off Trio numero une! Cleo, Chloe and Mark! Next is Katrina, Marcus, and Erik. Jessica, Angela and Mike. N-" he continued to list off many more trio's till I heard my name. "Evangeline, Alice and Rosalie!- " great- just great. I continued to stretch and let them come to to me. "Hi! I'm Alice and this is my sister Rosalie!" Said the pixie girl as she bounced up to me. "No shit. Evangeline- surprise!" I said sarcastically, completely irritated with how cheery she was. My response seemed to hurt her slightly has her smile faltered for a second. "We're gonna be great friends!" Alice added and I laughed dryly. "in another world sure but here there's a 0.01% chance of that happening!" Turning around I began packing up my stuff. "Why are you packing up?" The pixie like vampire asked. "Evangeline?" This was the first time I've heard Rosalie speak. Her voice was enchanting and in an odd way- beautiful. If I could, Her voice would be the thing to put me to sleep.
I decided not to answer the girl's and I could tell that they were becoming a bit hurt. Fortunately for me, the bell rung and I walked out of class with my belongings. As I walked down the hall I could here Alice say 'oh' as she came to the realization.
After walking out of dance I made my way to my next class; art. I was one of the first few students in the classroom so I quickly got to my seat near the back of the class. As I sat there waiting for second period to start, I thought back to the beautiful blonde who I had ignored- such regret filled within me. On my way out of class I could see the disappointed look on her face after not replying to her. How in the world did I manage to ignore such a beauty! I mean she is such a beaut- wait... my inner monologue was cut off as I came to the realization that Rosalie fucking Hale was my mate. Decades had passed without my mate by my side and now I've found her and I treated her like shit. Full on fucking ignored her. How on Medusa's green earth did I not realize! Me obsessing over her inside my head should of been the first clue! Never in my existence have I ever obsessed over a human, shifter, vampire or any other supernatural creature! Fuck! I groaned internally. I've probably just- "Attention everybody!" Mr.Hanning called out softly, clapping his hands. Coming out of my thoughts, I took notice to the other students who had previously filed into the room and to their desks with I wasn't fully present in the moment.
