Downhill

Chapter 7.

•NIGHT•
Amelia's POV:
We all hopped out of Dexter's car and headed towards the fence that was up ahead, covering all the commotion from us. Stella who was the first one to reach, opened it and the sight of Leo's celebration satisfied us once again. Music was blasting from the speakers, crowds taking up most of the place, people hanging out in the pool and much more.

Me and the group stayed together to find Leo. "How are we going to find him!", I lean over to yell at Dexter who was beside me. "We split up and whoever finds him,  sends a text in the group chat!" He yells back due to all the commotion. The others seem to understand and they nod and leave.

But before I get to turn my heels, Dexter hands me his car keys and I look up at him with a confused look. "Just, can you hold on to them? I feel like I'm that one person who loses everything at parties!"Dexter exclaims. I nod understandably and say "Hey, thank you for being so honest about that!" I reply playfully. He scoffs at me and walks away.
I grin and turn away to find our friend Leo. I speed walk between drunk crowds which may I add was difficult with these damn heels!

15 minutes have passed as I was trying to look around for Leo, I noticed that people started to get into big sets of crowds and began cheering wildly. This obviously caught my attention and as I was rushing towards the chaos, across from me I made eye contact with Stella, who had the same expression as I. She rushed towards me and grabbed my hand and lead me between the large number of people. "What do you think is going on?!" I question her. "I'm not sure but from the looks from it, it's something crazy!" She says.

By the time we made it to the front, there he was, standing on the rooftop with a beer in hand, a cowboy hat placed on his head and a smug smile on his face. People chattered 'DO IT!' over and over again and that was enough to encourage Leo. Since me and Stella are in the front, it was most likely he would spot us.

"This is going to end up bad! SOMEBODY STOP HIM!" yells out Stella, with concern laced through her voice. It seemed like nobody cared about Stella's statement and instead was focused on the show that was happening.

Leo made a countdown with his fingers and he mouthed ' 3, 2, 1" and with the timer gone, he tossed the beer bottle into the air, did a backflip!? and made  sure to flip off the crowds. The impact of the water made a satisfying sound and Leo came up to the surface, with people cheering and celebrating for him. He got himself out of the pool and his friends began gathering around him.

After his friends were done congratulating him, Leo began to look around, probably looking for us. I waved my hand in the air and that caught his attention straight away. Leo bagan jogging towards me and Stella with a happy expression plastered on his face." You guys actually came! I didn't think Dexter was telling the truth!" Leo says in a teasing way.

"We wouldn't miss it for the world, you know that Lee". I respond back, using his childhood nickname. He gives me a look that says 'please don't use that ever again' but I ignore it and take my phone out and enter the group chat.

I sigh, while exiting the group chat and check the time and to my surprise it's 8:26, I curse mentally knowing that this is going to be a long night.

Leo seemed to notice my change of expression and says "Why are you making that face?" He laughs a bit. "Just a few minutes ago you were goofing around."
"I just thought of something". I reply.
"Like what?" Leo responded, looping an arm around my shoulder. "It's just that it's been an hour since we got here and I just know that this is going to be a long night.."
Leo hummed in response and suddenly smirked like he thought of an idea and out of nowhere he carries me bridal style and heads for the pool!
I yelped and start hitting his shoulder but it doesn't do any affect on him since he's way stronger than me. "LEO, NO PLEASE, I CHANGE MY MIND!" He continues to ignore my protests and I turn my head around to see Stella, Avery and Dexter smiling innocently and recording as well as the whole crowd. This is so embarrassing..
In just a few seconds we're right at the pool and one of Leo's friend who was near by made sure to grab his cowboy hat and places it on my head.
"MY BEST FRIEND HERE NEEDS TO EXPERIENCE THE LIFE OF PARTYING..WHOS WITH ME!" Leo shouts out loud but not that loud so he wouldn't bust my ears off. Everyone shouted in agreement and I turn to look at my friends with a pleading look.
Suddenly I remember Dexter handing me his car keys and I grin mischievously with the plan I have in mind. "COUNTDOWN!.. 5..4..3..2..1" And I scream as I'm launched in the air about 10ft high so I take that opportunity to dangle the keys on my finger, high so Dexter could see.
Everything seemed to happen in slow motion as Leo jumping in the pool as well as his friends, seeing the horrified expression on Dexter's face, Stella and Avery laughing at our friend and then the last thing I see is,  Dexter grabbing onto a girls waist and the girl's arms wrapped around his neck.

But that wasn't what hurts the most, turns out the girl is my best friend Stella...

I feel so bad for doing this to Amelia! As well as for Avery!!
