1st POV, Morning

As I rise from my bed, I take a moment to stretch and hear the bones in my back crack loudly for some reason. I make my way to the bathroom to freshen up, and when I'm finished, I glance in the mirror to check my appearance.

Walking into the kitchen, the current time in New York seems earlier than usual according to the stove clock. I turn on the TV to check out the news, something about some robbery that's currently happening.

"Hm, well, guess that's my cue." I casually before getting up to get my suit, which is black and silver.

Honestly, I haven't changed this suit much since I first made it, when I first got my spider powers about 9 months ago. I had finished crafting my first outfit using silk, aluminum, and metal. Its silver design is stunning. I especially love how the spider insignia on the front is connected to the web symbol on the back - it adds a cool touch. I hear footsteps to the left of me and I turn to see Gwen, my roommate, standing in the doorway to her bedroom, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. She smiles at me and walks over to hug me tightly

"Hey. You're looking good today," Gwen says into my ear. "Were you going to leave without me?"

Her blonde hair is down and behind her head. She has a pendant around her neck. She is wearing black leggings and a white shirt, with white sneakers.

"I didn't wanna disturb your sleep. Plus, I was gonna call you. I would've told you earlier, but you were asleep so..." I shrug and let the unfinished sentence hang there. Gwen smiles and shakes her head.

"No worries, I don't mind." Gwen walks away to sit on the couch, looking at the tv before looking back at me.

My eyes flick to the tv before meeting her eyes again

"What?" I ask after a few seconds of silence

"Were you planning to go Spider-Man, when Peter told you to take a break?" She questions, looking at me skeptically

"...no." I attempt to lie, I'm not sure why I bothered, especially since lately Gwen has been able to see through my attempts.

And it seems this time will be no different.

"Uhuh, sure..." She says, clearly unconvinced

"Why don't you just take a day off and spend some time with your best friend?" Gwen asks, pointing to herself when she says 'best friend'.

"Well, what should we do together?" I ask

Her smile widens

"Well, I have some ideas..." She states, a smirk growing on her face
