Faced with Swire's question, Galileo instinctively shrunk his neck.

Crownslayer's grip tightened slightly. She didn't know why Swire, a senior superintendent of Lungmen, was there in front of them.

And Crownslayer made a commotion at the hotel last night too!

Has Swire noticed her?

It shouldn't be, before the operation, Chu Ning put disguises on them.

Xiu Xian took a step forward, reaching out to hold Crownslayer's hand to make her relax. After letting go, he stood in front and said with a smile, "I've also seen you, ah sir."

"Hmm?" Swire tugged her chin. "ID, let me check."

Xiu Xian handed over his identification, saying, "Don't you remember? Yesterday, at the Taeglin Hotel, when we were checking in, we saw you going crazy because of a firefighter who spoke without any pauses."

Swire's hand trembled as she checked Xiu Xian's identification. She silently passed the document to the subordinate beside her and looked at Xiu Xian. "Lungmen native?"

"Hey, hey," Xiu Xian greeted casually.

Swire looked behind Xiu Xian. "What about their identification?"

Crownslayer and the others took out their prepared passports and handed them over.

Xiu Xian smiled and said, "Ah, sir, you have quite a high position in the LGD, I can tell. How come you're even checking identities on the street. Do you handle this kind of work too?"

"There's been some trouble recently," Swire lowered her head and looked at their identifications. "I've been checking whenever I see someone. Hey, Ursus, Bolívar, and Yan, you guys are a diverse bunch."

Xiu Xian remained composed. "It's all because of the catastrophes recently. Who wouldn't want to run to a nomadic city, right?"

A police officer walked up to Swire and said something.

Swire handed back the identification, saying, "Visiting the amusement park?"

"Shopping," Xiu Xian replied. "We were just about to go, but we ran into you, sir."

"You have quite the plan, staying in a five-star hotel and coming here to shop," Swire smiled. "You are loaded, eh?"

Xiu Xian grinned. "Just distributing some wealth. Isn't it a contribution to Lungmen's economic development?" Then he changed the subject. "Speaking of which, it almost seems like fate. We met once in the lobby, once upstairs, and now we meet here."

"It's quite a coincidence," Swire said.

Xiu Xian continued, "Have you heard a saying?"

"What?" Swire asked.

"Fate is a wonderful thing, accidentally running into someone once, that's a coincidence, twice is fate, three times." Xiu Xian paused, then slowly said, "Perhaps, it's the one who is destined to be."

Swire's face turned cold. "You're quite bold! Flirting with the police?"

"Love is universal. Why does profession matter, sir?"

"Hmph," Swire snorted coldly. "Take care of your group. Let me tell you, Lungmen has been chaotic recently, especially with outsiders. Don't get involved."

With that, the senior officer turned and left with her people.

"Thanks, sir!" Xiu Xian waved his hand towards Swire's departing figure.

Turning around, Xiu Xian breathed a sigh of relief. "Danger averted."

"Impressive, Brother Fei Fan!" Galileo exclaimed in admiration. "I was scared out of my wits just now!"

Crownslayer, in a cold tone, remarked, "You're quite familiar with that."

"Let's go, it seems like we must go shopping," Xiu Xian said, leading the way ahead. He whispered to Crownslayer, "No big deal, I'm used to the slums. Dealing with the members of the LGD has become second nature to me. It's just a small encounter."

Crownslayer said without emotion, "I was referring to your flirting skills."

Xiu Xian stumbled.

Chu Ning, with a furrowed brow, asked from behind, "Why did she target us? And what did that final warning mean?"

Eliask asked in confusion, "Wasn't that woman just giving a normal reminder at the end?"

Chu Ning retorted, "If you were an officer, would you warn a group of tourists about potential dangers in Lungmen in a peaceful place like this mall?"

Crownslayer turned her head. "What do you mean?"

"She shouldn't have said those words," Chu Ning said. "I mean, if it were directed at ordinary people, she shouldn't have said that. Unless... there's something strange about us."

With that, Chu Ning began to assess everyone, and finally, his gaze fell on Galileo.

"Why are you wearing those shoes?"

Everyone looked at Galileo, who was wearing a pair of sneakers that looked relatively clean but a bit worn.

Eliask asked, bewildered, "What's wrong with wearing a pair of shoes?"

"Yeah," Galileo was also bewildered. "I've been wearing these shoes for over two years. They're worth thousands of LMD! I saved money for a long time before I finally decided to buy them."

Xiu Xian realized, "We're staying in a five-star hotel, shopping in high-end malls, and you're wearing a pair of old shoes?"

"They're valuable," Galileo defended.

"Are you poor?" Crownslayer looked at Galileo. "According to the intel, you spent tens of thousands on games."

"Are games the same as reality?" Galileo felt a bit offended. "I spend money on games for my waifus! I can endure the hardship, but how can I let my waifu suffer?"

Seeing everyone's confused expressions, Galileo shrunk his neck. "I... I have no other choice. I stay at home all day, relying on my tech skills to get by. The last time I bought new clothes for myself was two years ago. Can't I wear what I have?"

"You can wear what you have, but why did you buy something so expensive?" Xiu Xian raised an eyebrow. "I understand that you spend on your PNGs, but it doesn't make sense that you're spending so much on a pair of shoes."

Galileo couldn't keep his composure anymore. "I... I..."

Crownslayer glanced at Eliask and then lowered her tone. "You better tell the truth."

Eliask leaned closer to Galilee.

Galileo's face turned bitter, but looking at everyone's expressions, he finally spoke with a slightly teary voice, "Who, who doesn't have some embarrassing past? At that time... I liked a girl. She... she posted a status saying that her brother really liked these shoes and asked... asked what brand they were."

Xiu Xian blinked. "And then?"

"And then... I thought it was an opportunity, so I bought a pair and gave it to her."

"Isn't that a good thing?" Eliask asked in confusion. "Then how did it end up in your hands? Did your girl reject it? That's quite sad."

"She accepted it," Galileo gritted his teeth and said, "But after a week, I saw these shoes on a certain second-hand trading platform... The title... the title said..."

"What?" Everyone became interested.

"Given by a simping dog. My BF didn't like it. Need money recently, selling for cheap."

Silence.

Xiu Xian was the first to react. He scratched his head and said, "S-Sorry."

Chu Ning had a wry smile. "Isn't this... too pitiful?"

Eliask patted Galileo's shoulder. "Bro, cheer up. It's all in the past. So why did you buy it back?"

"Huh?" Galilee pursed his lips, tears dripping down. "She needed money, you know."

"Hopeless," Crownslayer summed up.
