"You're the Green Star Gang?" Swire gritted her teeth as she looked at the eight black-clad guys who had been apprehended in front of her.

Swire arrived relatively late. After receiving information from Chen during the day that proved her investigation was misguided, Swire couldn't really find another lead on the matter.

So, after work, she went home to rest.

After receiving word that there were terrorists in Lungmen, she didn't hesitate to rush out from home.

However, this was the slums, quite far from where this rich young lady lived.

The result was that when she arrived, all the action had already happened, leaving only a bunch of minions from the Green Star Gang who had been caught.

Looking at the debris of the Lungmen Guard Bureau police cars scattered on the ground, Swire was twitching with anger.

"You're saying it wasn't your people who rammed our police car?"

"It was a thief, officer," the goon shook his head. "We...we have some gang disputes. When we went to settle them, we found that our car was stolen, so we hurried out to chase after it."

Swire suspected she misheard. "Your gang had its car stolen by a thief?"

"We were astonished too," the goon looked aggrieved. "Swire ah sir, is this a sign of the deterioration of law and order in Lungmen? Even us gangs are being targeted by thieves now! Is there still justice? Is there still law?"

"Pfft." One of the officers nearby nearly burst out laughing at these words.

Swire gritted her teeth. "Law and order in Lungmen is just fine! And even if we're going to crack down on crime, we'll deal with you guys first!"

"How's it going?" Swire was in the middle of interrogating the Green Star Gang members when Hoshiguma's voice came from behind.

Swire turned around to see Hoshiguma and Chen walking over together.

"How's it on your end?" Swire gave up interrogating the Green Star Gang members and asked, "Did you catch the ones driving recklessly? Are they in custody?"

"They're fast, skilled drivers, familiar with the roads in the slums," Chen responded flatly. "They got away."

"Useless shitty dragon." Swire snorted. "You said you know every street and alley in Lungmen, and yet you let them get away?"

Chen looked at Swire for a moment and casually replied, "Every LGD officer is expected to be familiar with every street in Lungmen. I just mentioned something that should be completely normal. Why does it sound like anything important to you? Say, little Miss Swire, are you not familiar?"

Swire's face turned dark. "Stop calling me that!"

"Alright, you two calm down," Hoshiguma intervened. "Those guys obviously know the roads better than we do, even crashing through some abandoned houses. They're Lungmen natives and definitely not some first-timers, not easy to catch."

Swire sniffed. "Lungmen natives? Can you be sure who they are?"

"They were wearing masks," Chen said from the side. "But one of them is a bit slow in the head, there was a halo above their head."

Swire immediately became agitated. "Reckless driving, shooting, isn't that the annoying angel from Penguin Logistics?"

Hoshiguma corrected her, "she's called Exusiai."

"Whatever, we know who it is! Why are you back here if you already know? Don't you want to know why a logistics company suddenly turned into road killers?"

"Of course I'm interested," Chen replied. "But we need evidence for a formal investigation. If we want to know about this, we'll have to contact them privately or request approval and warrants from higher authorities. Without warrants, how are we supposed to just send a bunch of police cars to harass Penguin Logistics? The legal department exists for a reason, you know. And Swire, don't you still have a complaint pending? If they seize the opportunity for retaliation, how will you deal with it?"

Chen paused for a moment, then continued, "You even have the risk of being suspended from your duties."

"I..." Swire opened her mouth, then snorted, "I won't let them off so easily! I'll speak to the higher-ups! If that doesn't work, I'll mess with Penguin Logistics' stocks and make them come begging to me!"

"That's the way of dealing with it for the wealthy," Hoshiguma commented from the side. "There must be deeper layers to tonight's events. We need to investigate further. By the way, what's the situation on this front? What happened to the two civilians who were being chased?"

"They were taken away," Swire replied irritably. "Over there, the Green Star Gang. They were chasing a car thief. The car thief crashed into our police car here and took those two civilians."

"Our people thought the Green Stars were with them. There weren't many left behind, so they decided to arrest the two cars. But two cars still managed to escape."

Hoshiguma paused. "A car thief working with a gang? And they abducted people? What's happening in this world?"

"It's not that simple," Chen said. "These cars are reserved for people with some influence in the gang. These suspects should know something. Let's take them back with us."

Hoshiguma asked from the side, "What about the two civilians?"

"We'll check surveillance footage, track their location, and try to find them," Chen said. "But I don't think we need to bother too much. It was a supposed kidnapping, but it seems more like a coordinated effort. The identities of those two civilians are probably not so innocent. Who was responsible for liaising with them before?"

"Officer N, but she got knocked out," Swire replied. "I say it's your fault, shitty dragon. You should have caught them earlier and taken them into custody first!"

Chen glanced at her. "Imagine yourself in our shoes. If you saw a car being shot at by someone wearing a black ski mask, and the civilians inside came out and put bags over their heads out of fear, would you hold a knife to them? We're officers of the LGD, we're tasked with protecting the citizens of Lungmen!"

Swire opened her mouth, then gritted her teeth. "These guys are too cunning!"

"Let's go back and investigate," Chen said. "We'll always find something."

"Actually," Hoshiguma interjected, "we can just track their location."

"Hmm?"

Hoshiguma smiled. "After all... incidents like this are rare in Lungmen. Even if they happened before, it was usually in the context of gang fights. It's the first time I've seen civilians being abducted. So, I took precautions."

"I placed miniature trackers on them. Now, if we return to the control center, we can activate them and know their exact whereabouts."

Chen paused for a moment.

Swire, on the other hand, became instantly excited. "Hurry, hurry, hurry! Let's go back and check! Well done, Hoshiguma! You're much better than that shitty dragon!"

"And these gang members," Chen added from the side. "Bring them all back for interrogation."
