How About A Date?

A few hours after both the boys woke up, Ryan had an idea. It was still about 3 hours till dinner, so, Ryan thought maybe he could take Dylan on a little date, a date where people WON'T realize he's a literal walking, talking ghost. Ryan tried to rack his brain of all the possible date idea's that he thought Dylan would enjoy and wouldn't be caught dead (LITERALLY) doing. After a few minutes of pacing around he kitchen island, Ryan had an idea! A picnic! Searching through his cabinets, Ryan wanted to make sure he had everything PERFECT for his special boy, food, games, candles, everything you could ever want on a romantic picnic date. The location was already decided, Ryan knew of a spot where there was a beautiful Sakura tree (very classic, cheesy Wattpad date) atop a hill with the most BEAUTIFUL sunset's.

Glancing over to the living room, Ryan saw Dylan, who was once again, binging 'Cake Wars' (Dylan's new-found obsession). Ryan wondered if he should've ever given Dylan the Netflix password. Then Ryan realized he needed to get some things from the store to make his picnic perfect, "Hey, Dylan, I'm going to head to the store quick, alright?" Ryan called out from the kitchen, picking up his keys and walking towards the door. Dylan immediately turned around, "Not without a hug, you're not!" Dylan got up and rushed to Ryan, giving him a warm, loving hug (best hugger, change my mind). "I'll see you later, Dyl" Ryan said, turning towards the door, "Bye, Ryan!" Dylan waved as he walked back to the TV.

Ryan walked out the door towards his car, getting in and starting the engine, heading over to the store. Once Ryan had arrived and parked his car he stepped out, walking toward the doors of the store. Upon entering, it isn't very big and the lights are quite dim, though, Ryan can't expect much from it, this store is crazy old, He can't believe it's even still standing, honestly. Ryan walks up and down the isles, empty minded on what he should be getting for a picnic date. After a little bit of pacing up and down isles, Ryan thinks about Dylan's love for fruit and rushes over to the food isle, picking Dylan's favorite fruits and tossing them in his cart. Ryan finally got his ideas together and rushed down each and every isle, finding everything he could use for the most perfect picnic date he could think of. In the end, Ryan had decided on fruits, sandwiches, uno, strawberry scented candles and a small ring he had found that he knew Dylan would LOVE.

Ryan walked up to the cashier with his cart full of date items and things he knew Dylan would love. Ringing things up, the cashier looked up at him, "Taking your girlfriend on a date?" They questioned. A date, yes, just, not exactly his GIRLFRIEND. Ryan chuckled awkwardly, "S-Something like that, sure.." he said, avoiding the awkward eye contact with himself and the cashier who is now giving him a slightly strange look at his embarrassment. The cashier realized that this wasn't for a girl, but maybe, "I'm sure your BOYFRIEND will enjoy the date" Maybe it was for a boy. Ryan whipped his head to look at the cashier, "H-he's not my boyfriend! I-I mean I wouldn't complain, I love him like crazy-" Ryan had started an embarrassed ramble about him and Dylan's relationship, while the cashier silently listened and watch this boy talk about someone he clearly would love to be with for the rest of his life.

After a minute of rambling, Ryan realized all his groceries were scanned and bagged, he then also realized he went on a rant about the boy he's been crushing on for, like, forever. "O-Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to ramble!" Ryan apologizes to the cashier, "Don't be, and don't be so nervous, I'm sure he loves you just as much as you love him." The cashier replies back, giving Ryan a happy smile while handing over the groceries, "Plus, not many interesting things go on around here, so, this is a nice change of pace!" The cashier said with a smile. "Well, I'm glad my rambling was semi-interesting to listen too!" Causing them to both laugh, "Alright, have a nice day!" The cashier said giving Ryan the final bag, "Thanks! You too!" Ryan said, taking all his bags into his arms and walking towards his car.
