It was a sunny day, the early sun shone through the curtains which left a warm hue in the room. That was the moment Lily decided to wake up, she woke up later than usual. She forgot she had a lot of work to do on the farm, so she got out of bed quickly, took a shower, got dressed in no time, and put her hair in a messy bun. After she ate a quick breakfast she went to work on the farm.

She walked towards the barn where the goats were still sleeping, she checked on one of the baby goats that was born not too long ago. The goat wasn't looking good, so she decided to take her goat to the vet later that day. She took great care of her animals and wanted to be sure they were all healthy. She watered her crops and went for a walk with her dogs. It was a lot of work to do alone but she loved it. After some time she finished all of her tasks and she rested for a bit. She put the kettle on, and in the meantime, she grabbed a cookie out of the cookie jar. When she got her tea, she went to sit on the couch, and she turned on the TV. She zapped to ABC to watch her favorite show Grey's Anatomy, but when she zapped past Channel 5 News, she heard the news reporter talking. She froze.

"Welcome to Channel 5 News, we have breaking news for the farmers. A big forest fire has started in the northeast of the Cindersap Forest. And because of the dry weather, the fire spreads fast. I'm warning all the farmers who live nearby, to keep an eye out for smoke and/or fire."

Lily started to panic. She went outside and looked towards the forest to see if she saw smoke or fire. She was relieved when she didn't see anything nearby, so she went back to work.

After a while, she took the baby goat out of the barn and drove to the nearest vet, at the vet she was told to wait in the waiting room. Every minute that passed, she became more worried. When the vet called her over, she quickly came with her. The vet told her that the goat needed a special treatment, which she unfortunately didn't have the money for. The vet also told her that by not giving the goat the special treatment it needs, it could also cost its life. Lily told the vet that she didn't have the money for the treatment, she asked what else she could do, but there was nothing she could do.

She then drove to her floristry to get the shop ready for tomorrow. Once she got the shop ready she went back to her car and headed home, while driving to her farm she started to notice a unusual smell, she didn't think much of it.

Then she remembered what she saw on TV this morning.

Lily started to panic and raced over to her farm, but she was not ready to see what has already happened.
