ROBERT MONTAGUE RENFIELD had a big problem. Years ago — 1931 to be exact — Robert had come to England as an entrepreneur, but that was before he met... them.

Count Dracula and his daughter, Countess Maria Zaleska.

Leaving everything behind — including his wife and daughter — Robert had become the father and daughters familiar, more so Draculas as he was the one that turned him. Eating bugs for the rest of his years for power, for immortality, Robert thought at first that it wasn't that bad. He was a loyal servant to the both of them — and luckily the two gave him what he needed when he did what they needed. It didn't sound all bad.

That is until years later — Robert realized he was in a manipulative relationship, he wasn't important to either of them — so when vampire hunters came for Dracula and Maria, Robert tried his best to sleep through it. "Renfield." The sound of his name being whispered in his mind by Maria woke him. Every time she said it he couldn't help but blush and just, jump out of his skin. "I'm coming mistress!" Renfield exclaimed as he ran down the stairs of their large mansion in his pajamas, he tried not to trip as his slippers almost flew off. "Renfield!" Dracula exclaimed and thats when he saw it — the father and daughter were trapped in a circle of salt. It was a protection circle where evil things could be captured so those outside of it were safe — protected as the name said.

Looking between the vampire hunter and what looked to be a pope — Renfield looked at his keepers. Maria was hissing at the vampire hunter, she looked as if she was a wild animal — hair wild and teeth barred. Dracula looked at Renfield, "Please, help your master." His eyes softened and Renfield felt himself hesitate, "Renfield! Do not do this! Help us instead, we will free you!" The pope yelled as he held up a large cross — Renfield looked at him then at Dracula and Maria, the girl looked over at him and it seemed as if she was going to cry. He knew what he had to do.

With one light kick of his foot — his slipper came off and slid to the circle of salt, making a small gap which broke it. Dracula and Maria both laughed evilly as Dracula turned into a group of bats before flying into the Pope's open mouth — causing him to implode. Dracula returned back into his normal appearance before both he and Maria advanced on the vampire hunter — who was backed into a curtain. He grabbed it and pulled it, causing the sun to light up the room. Dracula quickly caught aflame as Maria quickly ducked into the shadows, her hand lighting aflame as the sun caught it, "Father!" She cried. Renfield's eyes widened as he quickly grabbed the curtain from the vampire hunter, "Master!" He threw the curtain onto his master before focusing on the man before him.

Grabbing a spider that was crawling across the floor, Renfield ate it before his eyes lit up a yellow color — he quickly ripped the man's head off before taking off his robe, he walked over to Maria. "Let me help you mistress." The glint of sharp white teeth was apparent even in the darkness. He covered her in his robe and helped her into a dark room. Walking back, Renfield looked at Dracula, he kneeled down next to him — cradling him in his arms in the curtain before pulling it back slightly to see his burnt and charred face — or lack there of. "Renfield, I need to grow back to full power." Dracula rasped and his familiar knew what that meant.
