The evening sun cast long shadows on the ground. The slanting rays of the setting sun gave a warm orange tinge to the sky. Greeshmika along with her two best friends Kavinesh and Dinika were having their late lunch after their classes. Dinika giggled at Greeshmika as she saw her stuffing her mouth with three, four french fries. Orumaari feeling stressed right? Kavinesh asked them while eating his delicious buttermilk chicken. Dinika and Greeshmika look at each other, their lips turned into a wide grin. Thats us, Machan Dinika hi- fied and turned towards Kavinesh. Soon they all went back to their houses to get ready for the night. One advantage they had was they all were staying in their hoster far from their hometown as they came here for their studies. Greeshmika quickly video called her mom as soon as she showered. It was a difficult task for Greeshmika to lie to her parents saying that shes going to sleep early as she had a morning class. Won't the parents know their child? Still they ended the call after a lot of byes and muahs. She sighed in relief but immediately felt guilty for lying to her parents. Later, when the duo reached Greeshmikas residence after taking an extra 10 minutes, they were welcomed by the grumpy face. Greeshmika huffed and glared at Dinika and Kavinesh. After getting an earful from her, three of them waited for the car they booked. Soon the driver arrived, making them rush as they parked his car far. Sitting at the backseat, three of them were making fun of how the driver drives as he was driving the car slower than the snail. Thank god the driver was not an Indian. Once they reached the place, Greeshmika paid and three of them got down from the car.
Greesmikas new high- heeled shoe clicked on the worn down black pavement as she walked out from the club parking lot. Kavinesh looked at Greesmika and eyed Dinika as she was on facetime with her boyfriend getting some dont over drink advice. She looked at them knowing what the trio will do when theyre together, muting the mic and turning off the camera, Its our day machannn..nalla kudikkirom she hugged them. When she heard her boyfriend calling her, she changed back to normal mode. Line ille pola paa, Ill call you later. I love you the most paa. Muahhh she ended the call and turned towards her friends who had EWW written all over their faces. Greeshmika hugged Kavinesh saying, Singles life matters machan earning a smack from Dinika.
The only thing that was lighting the streets was the street lights and the people were in and out of the clubs. They stopped in front of a tall security guy wearing all black with his hands folded in front of him and wearing a pair of black sunglasses that looked like a 10 year old would wear. "Hey, romba naalachu paarthu Identity card kodunge" He asked, taking out his phone. He came and hugged Kavinesh and side hugged Dinika. Winking at Greeshmika, he gave her a tight hug and kept her in his embrace a little longer.
