Jennie had walked home. It was a forty-five minute journey, but she needed that. She needed to walk until her feet felt like they were going to fall out and her lungs felt like they were going to collapse. She was embarrassed.
She wasn't exactly sure why she was embarrassed. She just knew that Lisa grabbing her boobs had flustered her to the point where she had to get out of there right at that moment. Despite kissing her face off and sitting on her lap, Jennie was not at all prepared for it. She wasn't opposed, it just took her by surprise and incited more of a reaction in her than she had thought it could.
Lisa immediately apologised, but Jennie wasn't mad at her; she had enjoyed what she did. Maybe a little too much.
At least Jennie knew one thing for sure now. She was absolutely, positively, not straight. Which probably meant she was bisexual. She knew this now. She was sure of it. So, really, there was no need for her and Lisa to ever speak again. Jennie wanted to know, and now she knew. So, now, she should stay far away from Lisa, before she got herself into trouble.
But, the thing was, she wanted to see Lisa again. She wanted to kiss her again. Kissing a girl was so much different than kissing a boy. Lisa's lips had been softer, her mouth had tasted better, and she had smelled better. And she hadn't handled her with big, meaty hands. When she pulled Jennie by the waist, it had been graceful, and it made Jennie want to kiss her harder.
After getting home, Jennie saw that Lisa had requested her on Instagram and also sent her a direct message. Jennie declined the request and ignored the message. She couldn't get involved with her anymore. She didn't need to do anything else with her to know she liked girls because now she knew that she wanted to have sex with Lisa, and she knew she would enjoy it. And if she had sex with Lisa once, she would keep having sex with her.
And then people would inevitably find out, and then her parents would find out and then her life would be over. So, she had to stay far away from Lisa. It wasn't Jennie's fault that she was expected to only ever date boys and eventually marry one.
Her father had made this very clear since she was a child.
"One day, you will grow up into a strong young woman. And then you will get married to a nice man, and you will run the family business with him, just like your mother and I did."
She couldn't run the family business with a woman. It would end up going out of business, and that would break her parent's hearts.
Although, just because she had some fun with Lisa now doesn't mean that she would end up marrying a woman. She still had every intention of spending the rest of her life with a man, but that didn't mean she couldn't have some fun now.
It was necessary, really. She had to have sex with Lisa, otherwise, she would be thirty and would end up hating her husband because she never got to experience sex with a woman and then she would inevitably have an affair with a woman.
That couldn't happen. She had to get it all out of her system now. And as long as they only ever met in Lisa's bedroom, no one would ever have a single clue. Jennie can be sneaky when she needs to be.
However, she still wasn't over what had happened today. She had no idea something as small as Lisa grabbing her breasts would make her moan so loudly. Now, that was embarrassing. And also exciting. But still, she wasn't sure if she was ready to face Lisa just yet.
Moaning wasn't so much as a big deal that it warranted her storming out of the house. And if she really thought about it, moaning when someone grabbed your breast in that context was normal. It may have got her all worked up, but really, that was a good thing. So, all in all, walking out of the house like that was a big overreaction, and so, maybe she should avoid Lisa until she forgot about it. Hopefully, it wouldn't take too long.
On Tuesday, she only had one period where she had a lesson, which happened to be Sociology. Safe to say, she wouldn't be going to school tomorrow; she wasn't ready for Lisa to even see her yet. She figured she could go to Sociology on Wednesday. She would see Lisa, but she would have Jisoo and Irene, so she should be safe from confrontation.
Then she had English twice on Thursday. Again, she would be with Rosie and was counting on the fact that Lisa wouldn't talk to her whilst she was with her friends. Jennie decided she would avoid her for exactly one week, and then next Monday, after double English, she would speak to her again.
The plan was foolproof in Jennie's eyes. At least it was until Thursday came. On Wednesday, she had successfully avoided Lisa in their Sociology class. Although, they had locked eyes twice. The first time was accidental, and when Jennie saw Lisa's eyes, they were wide and looked sorry and told Jennie she wanted to speak. Jennie had looked away immediately.
After that, she had tried to ignore Lisa, but she could feel her burning a hole in her head, and so just before class ended, Jennie looked over at Lisa whose eyes were once again wide, but this time with frustration, and Jennie knew Lisa still wanted to talk to her. But Jennie had a schedule planned out, and Lisa would have to stick to it, whether she knew about it or not.
Despite Lisa's intense stares, Jennie had successfully escaped without having to be confronted. It made her confident that she would make it to Monday just as successfully. That was until Rosie delivered some news during English on Thursday.
"I'm not coming to sixth period," Rosie said as they sat in English during second period.
"What? Why not?" Jennie quickly asked.
"Because I don't have any other lessons between now and then, so I may as well just go home," Rosie explained.
"What? Rosie, no, not good. You have to come, or I'll be all by myself," Jennie tried to convince her.
Rosie scoffs. "Please. We both know it's not the first time I've skipped out on this horribly placed lesson."
"You can skip next week, okay? Please, Rosie, I need you today."
"You need me?" Rosie frowns. "What for?"
"I--I just don't want to be myself." Jennie caught sight of a smirk creeping up on Rosie's face.
"Remember when you didn't come with me to the toilet on Monday?"
"Rosie, that was a five-minute toilet trip. This is a whole hour."
"Well, then, you skip it too."
"I can't! I've already skipped one lesson this week."
"Just one? I aim for at least three a week."
"Rosie, I'm serious. I have to be here."
Rosie shrugs. "Oh, well. You'll survive."
"Rosie--" Jennie stopped herself when she caught sight of the table on their left. Lisa sat on it, and it seemed she had heard every word of her and Rosie's conversation because though it may have seemed to anyone else that Lisa was engrossed in a poetry book, Jennie saw the way Lisa kept glancing at her and Rosie's direction.
She continued trying to convince her friend for the remaining duration of the lesson, but to no avail; Rosie had decided she wanted her bed, and nothing could stop her from that. Jennie had told her there were still four hours until sixth period, so Rosie could go home, nap, and still make it back in time. Rosie insisted she would not be doing that, so Jennie eventually gave up and accepted she would be alone and vulnerable to any potential attacks Lisa would throw her way.
But that didn't mean she was going to acknowledge Lisa. She planned to ignore her and hoped that Lisa would just leave her alone.
Of course, she knew better.
