"I swear to god Jungkook—"
"Good girls don't swear, darling." Jungkook whispered in your ear, pulling you closer by the waist even as he pressed his torso against your back. "Do they now?"
You turned around to face him.
The obvious red tint that had creeped up to your cheeks didn't favour you at that moment. Your fast beating heart was not helping you either. But you weren't going to succumb to that this time.
You're not backing down this easy.
"Good boys don't stick their potatoes to their plates again and again. Now, do they, my love?" You gave him a sarcastic smile.
The flirtatiousness disappeared from Jungkook's face, and his lips contorted into a pucker. "You're brutal."
A chuckle escaped your mouth. "How does it happen every single time?" You remarked, images of Jungkook's every failed attempt at making some potato dish flashing in your mind.
"I like to think it's God's mischief," Jungkook stated in a matter-of-fact tone. He loosened his grip on you, letting you finish buttering the toasts for breakfast. His eyes were still fixated on you.
"How so?" You cocked an eyebrow. You picked up the plates and went towards the dining table where your children sat, all dressed up for school.
"I'm basically perfect, you see. So, God decided he wouldn't give me potato-cooking skills to make me seem more human. I mean, it's not every day that you meet a man like me," Jungkook replied, his lips tugged onto a frisky smile.
Another laugh escaped you. "You amuse me with your conceit, Jeon."
Jungkook walked up right behind you, standing close enough so that his lips lazed next to your ear. He brought them lower, his breath hot against the skin of your neck. "I'll amuse you with more than just my conceit if you let me go to work late." He murmured ever so sultrily, sending a silent shiver down your spine.
God, have mercy.
You swallowed a lump of your own saliva, a very unwanted scenario popping up in your mind. You quickly shoved it away, saying, "The kids are right here."
"And we both know how," Jungkook winked, finding a place next to your daughter.
Unbelievable. Un-freaking-believable.
"Jeongha, how's your cereal?" He picked up a napkin and wiped the corner of the girl's mouth.
"Nice! I like it," the girl swung her legs to-and-fro, a bunny smile plastering her lips; she got that smile from her father.
You shook your head slightly. It was successfully a regular thing now for Jungkook to tease you this way in the mornings. Upon hitting good terms and establishing your relationship, you discovered that Jungkook was an energetic person in the morning — unlike yourself who preferred slow mornings.
