You hated hasty mornings.
Especially when they would occupy your weekends.
Being a mother was difficult. Not many people realised that in spite of distributed chores, the mother would always be overworked because of the mental stress of keeping a household in order.
Jungkook - undoubtedly - helped you around the house. Taking care of the kids when you needed a break, being actively involved in your lives, juggling work and home like a true man. He did all of those things with a smile on his face and a sincere devotion to you. But that was the bare minimum.
You, on the other hand, had to plan out every single day of your lives. You had to decide your children's lunchbox, pack food for your husband, set a schedule for the day, do the daily chores, plan out meals and whatnot.
You would get the physical rest you required. Getting the mental detox was the challenge. To be frank, you don't remember the last time you were able to wind down your mind.
"I really, really thought I could sleep in today." Your words were an understandable complaint. "But here we are."
Jungkook wrapped his arms around your shoulders, his torso pressed against your back. He rested his chin on your head, tightening his grasp on you and he kissed the side of your temple. "I'm sorry, baby. But you know how these things are right. Plus, the kids love the company outings. They'll have fun. I'll appoint one of those interns to watch over them."
You sighed while chopping fruits for your kids. "No, don't do that. That's just mean. We should be spending time with our children instead." You picked up a slice of cut apple and fed it to Jungkook. "Maybe next time we could start the outing a little later; at noon, perhaps?"
Jungkook hummed, hugging you even tighter. "Maybe next time we won't go at all. Let Jonghoon and Taehyung handle it. I'm sort of sick of those outings anyway."
"Why's that?"
"The interns kiss my ass a little too much," Jungkook said. "Like, calm down."
A laugh came out of you, bringing you momentary relief from the tension of being a partner (with 52% assets to her name) in this company. "I thought you liked having your ass kissed?"
"I used to," Jungkook planted a peck on your neck. "Now it's just irritating. I'm just minding my own business and there's some new kid trying to get their promotion. They forget you have to actually work. Especially if you're under me."
"You don't make me work when I'm under you." You wiggled your eyebrows as you turned to face Jungkook.
Your husband pushed his body further against yours. Torsos clashed even as his hands snaked around your waist. His eyes pooled with mischief, his incisors caging his bottom lip in an attempt to conceal his arousal.
"You, my love, are my wife. For as long as I'm alive, you will never have to lift a finger. That's that." He says, taking your lips into his own, enrapturing you in a mind-blowing kiss.
This. This is why you never regretted choosing the homemaker life. Jungkook created a healthy environment at home. Both as a father and a husband.
"When do we leave for the company outing?" You asked, breaking the kiss.
"In forty minutes."

Dahee was panicking, to say the least.
Reyna's face sat still on the window of her laptop screen, brows furrowed but in speechlessness.
"You didn't even listen to me." Dahee cribbed, her own face twisted in a frown of worry. "What is up with you, Reyna?"
"I'm trying to figure out why on Earth you're worried about today." Reyna crossed her arms over her chest. "Dahee, your portfolio is one of the most impressive ones out there. And this company that you're trying for is still new at this whole fashion thing. Why are you fretting? There's plenty of other big companies to try out for as well."
