I had been wandering the world for so long that I had lost count of the number of times I had been betrayed, stabbed in the back and sold out. The number of times I have had to change my appearance or even Gender. I had been just fled from the latest village that turned their backs on me when they found out who I really was. I was so tired of loosing friends and family. My daughters and sons, my brothers and sisters.

When I reached the next village I was thin and tired. Worn out from the long travel I had behind me. I only heard someone yelling :

" HALT! WHO GOES THERE? "

Before I passed out on the sand. I felt someone picking me up and bringing me inside before I surrendered to the Darkness and lost consciousness.

........ POV

The day had started out very normal. Everybody was doin there jobs or helping out others. It was close to dusk when a figure approached the gates. The guard called out them before the figure collapsed. As they did so the guard claimed he saw a scale on the figures Hand. They brought them inside and to our medical tent. I was brought back to reality by my oldest Friend and adviser.

" The Human has awakened. It seems to be a female. She is thanking the doctors and asking if she could leave. She also asked for our leader. To personally thank him. Our doctors say that the guard was correct. She has scales on her body. Including multiple scars and wounds. Some old, some new and some were still open when she arrived. Do you wish to see her ? " He asked me. I turned to him and nodded.

" Yes, I would to see our surprise guest my good friend. Please bring her to my quarters. " I said before slithering to my crown and setting it on my head. I slithered to the window and looked out at our little town. How had she found us? We were protected by ancient magic and only those who lived here could enter.

I was so lost in thought that I didn't hear the door open. He cleared his throat and I spun around.

" My liege, may I present the Human. She claims to go to by the name of Calisto Fang. " He said as he bowed before slithering to the side and revealing a young woman. She seemed nervous but determined. Yet at the same time I could see the immense fear in her eyes."

" Thank you Pythor. You may leave. " I said, my eyes still trained on the young womans figure. Pythor bowed and left the room.

" Allow me to introduce myself. I am Emperor Scar of the Serpentine. May I ask how you stumbled upon our little Town. We live quite restricted from others you know. " I said as I scanned her face for any reaction that could give her away. She cocked her head to the side confused.
