(trigger warnings: autistic s/o, mentions of lung cancer)
(I am so so sorry if I write anything that is false information or false actions, towards triggers in autism, I have tried doing my best research and reading up on the topic as best I could, but please let me know if anything is wrong and I will change it ASAP!)

"In the kitchen!" your voice echoes through Michael's childhood home which was now semi-empty.

You had moved in with Michael, about two weeks ago, but both of you had been together for 8 months when you first moved to Haddonfield to be closer to your sick grandmother.

Your grandma had been suffering from stage 3 lung cancer, from all those cigarettes she went through for all those years. Even after your constant begging to get her to quit, she never listened.

She had been diagnosed about a year ago and had asked if you would be with her through her treatments.

You had only lived an hour away from Haddonfield, so it wouldn't be too big of an impact on your life, and if you ever wanted to see your parents, it was a small drive.

Eventually, one night on the first week you were here. You were doing your groceries for you and your grandma but when you walked in the grocery lights were too bright of a fluorescence.

Immediately you closed your eyes and quickly reached in your bag for your blacked-out sunglasses that helped in situations like this.

With shaky hands and slightly heavy breathing, you quickly took your sunglasses from your bag put them over your eyes, and counted backward from 50 to 0, until you were calm enough to open your eyes.

This wasn't the first time you had been triggered by a bright light; autism was not the best thing to live with.

Being overstimulated was not common for you. You learned to stay away from places, that may have loud noises and bright lights, to not get triggered so easily.

You hated having to explain to people why you reacted a certain way or having strangers oddly stare at you.

Thankfully, since you had moved to Haddonfield, it was never a problem in the small quiet town.

After about a month of living with your grandmother, it didn't take long for the rumors of a certain infamous killer, roaming around the streets once again.

And it didn't take long either for Michael to notice you.

He was quickly taken by your shy and nervous state when you would walk on the streets, or why you would wear sunglasses in the grocery store.

To this day he still didn't know why, and you never told him. You knew he would find out eventually, or maybe he would start to question your weird antics, but he never once did.

You weren't the quickest to realize that Michael was stalking your every move and location, but when you did, it went better than most anticipated.

True you were scared shitless, he is a serial killer, but the way he seemed towards you, never made you feel threatened. Eventually, the stalking turned into him letting you see him, to him coming up to you, and now being with him.
