How annoying.
From all the servants his master had, Ghirahim was the one being forced to take part in this pathetic little party, held by mortals who meant absolutely nothing to him. He wouldn't bother to spend time with those pesky weaklings, they were nothing in his eyes, they only existed to satisfy his sadism after all. Thus were they annoying, unthankful, greedy and untrustworthy. He was way better than them, he was the right hand of Lord Ganondorf, for Hylia's sake! They should bow down to him, trembling in fear just by the sound of his name! They should pay him the respect he deserves-and yet, they were drinking wine, laughing while gossiping about the newest events, making the demon lord become enraged by this inappropriate behavior.
That is, until a mesmerizing, gorgeous young lady had caught his attention, as she was standing all alone in a corner, avoiding to be included in conversations on this party. She was gazing outside the window, seemingly lost in thoughts as the moon seemed to have completely enraptured her. Why was he so fascinated by her? She was a mere mortal after all, unworthy like the rest of this scum, but he couldn't just tear his gaze away from her. So why not engaging into a conversation with her? She definitely picked up his interests, maybe she wasn't that bad after all. 'It's worth a try', Ghirahim told himself, while confidently making his way to the fair woman, trying to make a good first impression on her. Wait, why was this so important to him?? He just wanted to talk to her to kill his boredom, not to impress her! Confused by his actions, he respectfully bowed down to the lovely lady, with a sly grin crossing over his lips as he introduced himself. 'I am the Demon Lord who presides over this land you look down upon, this world you call the surface. You may call me Ghirahim. In truth, I very much prefer to be indulged with my full title: Lord Ghirahim. But I'm not fussy...'
The woman teared her gaze away from the window, a quite confused, if not surprised expression resting on her face as she looked at the demon lord, trying to procees the fact that someone just randomly talked to her out of nowhere. From all the women that were present, he choses her-why so? Why would a fancy person like Ghirahim spend his time with a simple human being like herself? She kept staring a little longer at him, before she finally spoke up, breaking the silence. 'Well, that's an interesting way of introducing yourself' she stated, while a light smile appeared on her soft lips 'But it's still a pleasure to meet you, my lord' the lady let escape a light chuckle, a quite soothing sound to Ghirahim's ears.
'The pleasure is mine. And you are?' Ghirahim asks, while becoming more and more confused. Why was her chuckle such a likely sound to his ears? Why is he still insterested in talking to the young lady? Normally, he'd lose his interest in a matter of seconds, having to pretend like he'd still listen on, but with her ... things were completely different.
The lady respectfully bowed her head to Ghirahim, before looking up at him again as she introduced herself to him 'I'm Fayru, Fayru Dragmire, only born daughter to the current king of the Gerudo, Lord Ganondorf, he has told me quite a lot about his most loyal servant she answered politely, while her eyes met his. She was captivated by their arrogant shine and the way the moon was being mirrored in them, showing off his self-confident character.
'What stories does Lord Ganondorf tell about me?' he asked genuinely curious, while smirking at the fact that his master was talking about him to his offspring, implying that he surely must be satisfied by his undying loyalty. If there was one thing greater than Ghirahim's ego, then it was his dedication to properly serve his master and fulfill whatever task he gives him, no matter the difficulty.
'Curious?' she asked with a hint of amusement, and while she described the demon lord what exactly her father has told her about his powerful servant, he allowed himself to take a closer look at the beautiful desert princess.
She had mesmerizing, long, curly-waved, dark red hair which she wore lose and decorated with golden accessoires, one being a tiara with shining diamonds in it. In addition to that, she possessed gorgeous, yellow eyes, which were shining under the dim light of the room with unique pupils, as they had the form of a rhombus. Her skin seemed soft, it had a rather dark greenish color, similar to her father, making her standing out from the other Gerudo. Her dress was held in a black color, adorned with golden patterns, it was lightly revealing her mere back, on which a pretty tattoo could be spotted, showing the sign of the Gerudo tribe. All in all together was Fayru a very stunning young lady, which definitely made Ghirahim want to talk longer to.'Lord Ganondorf speaks highly of me-as he should. I am his most loyal servant, and I work only to carry out his orders. I do my job well, and he respects me for that. I am his weapon, his tool, his extension. I exist to serve him' he explained to her, after he finally managed to tear his gaze away from her, while his cheeks seemed to have taken in a lightly pinkish color. No way. The mighty demon lord, servant of Lord Ganondorf-blushing over a girl?!
'You should't think of yourself that way, you're way more than just a "mere servant"' the princess suddenly said with a rather warm and lovingly smile, causing the demon lord's heart to beat uncontrollably fast, something he has never experienced before-especially not with mortals. Why was she making him feel this way? Why would his heart ponder so rapidly over her, her!
Ghirahim was astonished by her words. He's never encountered someone so sweet before. The other beings he's spoken to have always been so foul, so evil. This girl was different, and he's enchanted now. 'I appreciate your kind words. You are a rare thing in this world' he responded, while the blush on his cheeks profused, the darkness which was surrounding his heart slowly melting away the longer he kept talking to Fayru.
'Well, I'm only speaking facts here' she said while leaning against the cold wall, letting her eyes dart through the room. She watchesd how the guests were chatting, drinking or enjoying the sweet desserts exposed on this party 'You're not just a tool, you're not just a servant either, you're much more than that, my lord' she gave him a lighthearted smile, while her strong, yellow eyes were reflecting his face 'To me, you are the most fanciest and coolest demon I've ever met before, to me, you ... could actually be a friend' Without realizing it, she started to blush as well, while placing a little hair strain behind her pointy ear.
'A friend? That's a fascinating concept. I can't say I've ever had one. Perhaps you could be my first' He offered her a small smile, despite the pain that dwelled up in his chest. It was true, he never had a real friend in his centuries of living, why should he? He was just a servant after all, just a demon to satisfy someone's greet and hatred-but not in Fayru's eyes. And that was something he'd secretly appreciate.
'I'd gladly be, my lord, I couldn't feel more honored to be the very first friend of such an important personality like yourself are!' she stated playfully, while putting on a dramatic demeanor, clearly fooling around a little, but who cares? The only thing that mattered to her was to make her new friend laugh, as she knew how harsh her father could act towards his servants. She knew that they deserved much more than his inhuman treatment, that even someone like Ghirahim deserved happiness ... and someone he could trust and feel safe with- and she'd be this person to him.
Ghirahim was amused by her playful antics. He laughed a little, which surprised even him. He didn't usually give in to laughter, but this girl was quite charismatic. Perhaps, for the first time in his very, very long life, he had found an ally. One who was loyal, powerful; one who could understand him. He enjoyed the rest of his evening with her at his side, not knowing how much important she'd become to him in the future ...
