Years before the demon know as sebastian was contracted to the young earl Cielo phantomhive. The demon had someone else he cared for. An angel who was quite possible the most sweet and innocent being there ever was. Most angels are corrupt, while most demons are just hungry. However the young angel that caught the eye of our beloved demon butter was truly an angel.
Sebastian has been looking for a meal when he caught the angel aiding and protecting people with nothing in return. It intrigued the demon and little by little they fell in love. He loved her ability to fight back and stay true to word. She love the little light she saw everytime he would smile genuinely.
However it would stay this was as the angel was killed by another for committing a great sin. Loving a demon.
She is reborn but has lost not only her emotions but her memories of her being and angel and of her true love. She did continue to grow strong and smart.
A few years later a certain demon butler goes on the search for new staff for his newly appointed master. When he stumbles upon the lover he believed was dead he freezes. Feeling someone staring the woman turns around to see the man unable to recognize him.
The demon can see the lack of recognition in her eyes and feels his heart break all over again. She approaches her with an offer to work for his master. She refuses at first and begins to leave. After alot of convincing she agrees and he carries her all the way back to the mansion.
He promised to always protect her as she did for others.
Will he be able to keep that promised or fail once again? What will the other members of the household do when they find out how Sébastien feels about the girl?
