Once we got to Germany, I began admiring everyone and everything around me. It felt weird, we were never the type to go on vacations to other countries, but moving to Germany forever—It just felt odd. As we were making our way up to our new house, a group of boys caught my eye, with girls swarming them with cameras. A specific boy had my attention though.
He had long dreads and wore baggy clothing. Then a boy who stood right next to him who look oddly similar to the other boy, he had spiky hair with white strands, he was wearing what mostly seemed like black clothing.
The boy with dreads made eye contact with me, i looked a mess. I had a messy bun with strands in my face whilst trying to push my
luggage inside. I quickly brushed the hair strands out my face and smiled at him before looking back. I didn't realize that the whole time i was staring at them my mom had been calling my name multiple times.
"Rianna Vergara Klein!" My mom yelled out
grabbing both my attention and the attention of the group of boys, she grabbed my arm and pulled me into the house, i looked back one more time to see the boy with dreads smirking at me. I couldn't stay focused on why mom was upset, i was mesmerized by his face.
"Why weren't you listening to me?!" My mom yelled
at me.
"Sorry mother, i was uhm.. Daydreaming!" i replied,
"Daydreaming about what? That group of boys you were looking at?" Rosa scoffed.
"Enough of this nonsense and help me unpack!" My mom interrupted,
Hours later we finally got unpacked, it was only 2 days until Halloween. Halloween was my favorite holiday of the year, i've been looking forward for it for months and now it's 2 days away, I was very content that we moved to Germany just in time for Halloween.
Once we settled down into our new house, Rosa and me looked around. Rosa ran up the stairs and opened the door to her new room,
"This house is gorgeous!" Rosa exclaimed,
"It really is! I love this house." I replied, smiling.
"Girls, get ready we're going to the beach." My mom called out from the first floor.
"This day is just getting better!" Rosa jumped and dragged her bag of clothing into her room.
I couldn't stop thinking about the boys in seen, i ran downstairs and opened the front door, they weren't there anymore. I sighed and shut the door. I went upstairs to change into a bikini i bought at the mall back in Los Angeles, it was pink with a flower pattern.
For some reason, it was still hot outside this time of year. Even though it was fall.
My mom honked for me and Rosa to hurry up, we raced down the stairs and shut the front door behind us.
"I'm so excited!" Rosa exclaimed,
We finally arrived to the beach
"Finally we're here." Rosa sighed and stomped her feet as she got out the car.
"Rosa please, it was like a 15 minute car ride." My mom replied
I got out of the car and took off the sweater, revealing my bikini.
"Last one to reach the sand is a rotten tomato!" Rosa yelled, we both sprinted to the sand in could feel my flip flops struggling to stay on my feet. I finally reached the sand. Panting, i looked up just to see Rosa smirking at me
"I got here first! Loser." She added. I smiled, "Fine you win, let's get in the water!" I suggested , i was only wearing waterproof makeup so i was sure my makeup won't rub off.
As me and Rosa made our way to the water, i inhaled the scent of the ocean, i could hear the seagulls in the sky probably out to steal an innocent persons meal. I finally reached the water and felt the cold waves splash onto my feet. I continued to go in deeper and deeper until the water reached my waist.
I spotted a group of boys, it was the same guys i seen earlier. The boy in dreads was wearing his shorts that slightly reached his knees, his dreads tied up into a bun with his sunglasses resting on the tip of his nose. My jaw dropped, i tried not to look him up and down but I couldn't resist, that was when the one with spiky hair glanced at me. I looked away, flustered.
"Ooo~ Rianna has a crush!" Rosa said loud enough for the boy in dreads to hear, i gasped and covered my face with my hand.
"Rosa! Stop embarrassing me.." I whispered.
I could hear the group mumbling about something, I looked back to see a girl clinging on the guy with dreads arm. I felt a rush of jealousy but i shrugged it off, the woman had blonde hair and blue eyes, she was gorgeous and had an extremely curvaceous body.
"Do you think she got some type of bbl or something?" Rosa whispered with an eyebrow lifted.
"Rosa! That isn't nice" i replied "But it does seem like it.." I added.
She was wearing an extremely revealing bikini, 'i mean, might as well wearing strings.' I thought to myself. As i was in my mind, I didn't realize the entire group had turned around and was heading toward the space near me and Rosa. I felt my heart pacing and i turned away.
"So, Ria what do you wanna do?" Rosa asked me, "I think my best friend is coming so we could all hang out!" I replied to her.
I turned to my side and seen the group 5 feet away from us, the girl was play fighting with the boy i was interested in. I slightly sighed and looked away.
"Let's play fight in the water Ria!" Rosa exclaimed, pushing me into the water, I completely submerged underwater. I rose up quickly and pushed my sister back. "Rosa! Whats your problem!?" I shouted at her, "Come on Ria, it was just a joke." She replied, annoyed. Rosa pushing me caused the group to shift their attention to us. I made eye contact with my the boy in dreads once again and turned around quickly, trying to fight away my smile.
Me and my sister continued to push and splash each other, I laughed so much I swallowed the water 2 times. After play fighting we both got out the water and sat on the wet sand, the waves still reaching our feet. I looked ahead, where the group were relaxing. The pretty girl caught my attention when she pulled my love interest into a deep and passionate kiss. I looked away playing with the sand, trying to avoid seeing them kissing.
I was filled with anger and jealousy, why was i so attracted to a boy I didn't even know? I looked back to the couple kissing, they groped each-other. He grabbed her by the waist, pushing her closer to him.
She pulled away from the kiss, smiling at him, still attached together. The other members were clearly uncomfortable, "Okay, get a hold of yourselves." The spiky haired boy shoved them. I smiled as i seen the girl plunge into the water, screaming.
Rosa and I stood up and dusted the sand off of us. I glanced at the boy in dreads once more before walking away.
After changing into my normal clothing we got into our car and drove away, i looked out the window, thinking about him. Why is he so handsome? Why can't i let go? He clearly has a girlfriend. I need to back off and focus on myself. Am I capable? I sighed.
