"We need new curtains! And cushions!"
"Why? They look fine to me, Sreeja."
"But not perfect. Our house needs to look perfect on Diwali."
He knew there was no point in arguing. "Alright, what do you need?" Gaurav gave in.
"I need Diyas for the front door and decorative lights and candles and idols and a small vase and ....."
"Ok...Ok... send me the list. I'll get it while coming back from the office."
It's been 6 months since they got married. The early excitement of married life was over and life was gradually settling into routine. Theirs was an arranged marriage. Sreeja's aunt introduced her to Gaurav. After their first meeting, Sreeja didn't find Gaurav attractive. She found him too simple for her liking.
