Chase's POV

'I hope Lucas is ok. He's been acting a little different.' I walked aimlessly until I had subconsciously brought myself to the woods where Lucas and I first met. I went
to the exact spot where we met and dug up the bone we both shared on that day. The
bone was still intact despite how much time had passed.

3rd Person POV

It was many years ago when both Lucas and Chase were 3 years old. Lucas was chasing a giant bird to the spot until Chase came running, bumped into him by accident. "Uh, sorry" apologized Chase "Urgh, that was my lunch thanks a lot" replied Lucas, slightly peeved "It's still there let's attack it together!" reconciled Chase. They then proceeded to jump and kill the bird.

A/N: The bird was regular giant bird and not a magical creature

"Whoa, look at the size of this bone!" exclaimed Chase excitedly, "Let's munch on it together!" replied Lucas, just as excitedly "My name's Chase" he introduced "Lucas" he returned

Chase's POV

A tear came down and splashed the bone "L-Lucas..." I whimpered, "Yes?" he replied. I looked up and saw him looking at me as I blushed, wiping my tears. "Lucas?! How long have you been standing there!?" I asked freaking out a little. "Just got here, was in the neighborhood." he said, kicking a rock. I buried our bone back in the ground and spoke. "Lucas what's going on between us? We're best friends and now I feel like we barely know each other. "Why do you care!" he yelled, baring his teeth. I stood up. I was getting tired of this "Lucas" I growled. He replied with a tackle and we started fighting. Back and forth we went as we pounced and scratched and punched. He scratched me and then I drove my claws into his cheek as he growled and punched me in my jaw causing me to quickly get off of him and yelp in pain. The tears were cascaded down rapidly. "Ch-Chase?" he asked, somberly. I looked back at him and he looked a little sad. I went wolf form and took off running and he followed me, switch to wolf form as well.

I ran out to an open field and turned back to normal as the gang was gathered there. "We heard the commotion and wanted to make sure y'all was ok" Katie smiled as Lucas came out and turned back to normal as well. "Yeesh, what happened to you two?" James asked. "Nothing" we both replied. "You sure?" inquired Lisa. "Yeah" Lucas grouched. "Lucas, I'm sorry for whatever I did to hurt you. I know you've been acting a little different and we've grown a little apart and I just can't help but feel it's my fault." I said starting to cry. Lucas looked down and back up at me with a glare and spoke the three words that broke me

"I hate you"
