Chapter One

Renn's P.O.V

I woke up from a late nap. Mom and I had just had an argument and I couldn't remember half of the shit she'd said. I swear she's ashamed to call me her daughter. I just wish she'd accept me.

I went downstairs to see a note left on the table. "Renn, I'm at work right now and I'll be home around 5:00p.m. Just go over to Drake's house until I get home. Or maybe Sadie's house. Which ever works.

I love you. Have a good day <3 -mom" I read it in her voice and I almost started crying.

Ever since Dad left, things have been getting worse. Mom's boyfriend hasn't been coming home lately. Her and I have been arguing too much and I've been being bullied at school again. I want things to change but I know they won't.

Drake's P.O.V

I woke up on the couch and rolled over to see Jude, my stuffed fox on the top of the couch. I seemed like it was glaring into my soul. I sat up and reached for my phone.

Renn's mom had texted me asking if Renn could come over after school until 5. Of course I said yes. Renn and I have been good friends since I moved here. She was an amazing friend and I love her like a sister

Renn and I met at the mall one day. I was giving free hugs and just went up to her and gave her one. Then I got her number and we became instant friends. It's strange how you can meet people in the most random ways.

Renn's P.O.V.

I walked to school. I wish I didn't have to deal with all the bullies at school. They piss me off so much. Just because I wear dark clothing and my hair covers half my face doesn't mean that I self harm or that I'm emo. Even though I wish I could be for one day to show them the change.

I stood at my locker and took a glance at the inside of the door. It was covered with band logos and pictures. They've truly saved my life. Before I could walk away, Ian was leaning on the next locker staring directly at me.
