Chapter Nine

Drake's P.O.V

I sat in my room until 11 p.m until I decided to walk over to the sub shop and call Bryan. He picked up "Hey Drake, long time no see. How are things with Renn? Did you tell her?" Shit, it had been a long time. I had to tell him everything. "Yeah, she took that pretty good. I took her to Universal and when we got back, her mom left her." "Left? What do you mean by left?" "She got evicted and left Renn with some money and her stuff. Then she told Renn that she had been adopted. Renn's heart is just shattered, Bryan. I don't know what to do." I was starting to cry. "Don't stress Drake, I got a good idea."

He told me to call back next week. Apparently, that was enough time to come up with a plan and bring it all here. I was hoping that Renn would be there when I got back. She even forgot her phone on the couch. There was a note next to the empty bucket of ice-crream. "Drake, I love you but I'm not strong enough to be in love. Hell, I can't even carry myself. I'll be at Sadie's house. Don't worry, she's got an extra phone for me at her place and an extra room for me to stay. I've already got all the stuff my stuff out. I love you. -Renn" Shit, she's already gone.

Renn's P.O.V.

I sat crying on Sadie's floor while she was getting movies and popcorn for us from downtown. I'm so glad she's here for me. She always has been and hopefully always will be. I grabbed one of my backpacks aand searched for something to entertain myself with (not in that way). I pulled out a penguin stuffy that Drake bought me when I woke up from my coma. It had something stiched to it's fin from Drake. "I hope you notice this someday when things are falling part and smile." This is the first time I saw this.

Back to the crying for me. I miss him but I know that if I went back to his place that I would break. Even though my heart's been broken millions of times, I wouldn't be able to handle it this time. It's been really tough this past month. Hey, I guess the past is just starting to bite me in the ass. Great, this is just what I needed. Even after being kicked out, finding out about Ian and finding out that I was adopted.

Sadie's P.O.V.

I was just leaving the movie store, when a hand grabbed at my arm. I twirled around to see who it was. Drake. He looked as if he had been crying a lot. "Is she okay?" Crap, I thought this would happen. "Yeah, she's fine. She just needs some time to calm down and figure things out. She should be back to normal in the next few weeks." "Okay, tell her I said hi." Aww, he's so sweet. "Will do. See ya later Drake." I dashed out of there as fast as I could. Hoping Drake was okay after Renn left.

Renn's P.O.V

I heard the door downstair open and close. Then I heard someone humming Carry You by Union J, so I knew it was Sadie. She started heading upstairs. "Hey Renny. What's up?" She sounded a little worried, but still quirky. "Just..." I couldn't tell her about the penguin without crying. "Just being me. How was getting the movies? Any creepers out there tonight?"

"Well, there was one certain creeper" Sadie is always on the lookout for the cutest guys. "He was wearing a blue fuzzy hat, rainbow-leopard glasses and had a fox tail keychain in his back pocket." Aaaaand it was Drake. "ugh, what did he say?" I hope he wasn't pissed at me. "Is she okay? Tell her I said hi." "Wow. At least he isn't mad at me." I miss him already and it's only been a day.
