[11] Baby I thought you would know.

"What's your problem?"

They had reached the bus stand and Yeonjun couldn't bear the silence anymore and decided to break it.

Soobin turned around and looked at Yeonjun with a raised brow."What do you think?" he asked with mock curiosity.

"Don't be so difficult Soobin. If you have a problem with me then just say it. We can fight it out like men." Yeonjun said with seriousness.

Everytime Yeonjun fought with Sehun they would take out their frustrations through their fists. After two-three punches and one or two broken bones they would be back to being best of friends.

Although Yeonjun never really got into a physical fight with Soobin except when they practiced karate and taekwondo, or just wrestling each other for gags, Yeonjun believed it was a fool proof plan.

Soobin looked at Yeonjun with bewildered chuckle as if Yeonjun said the most dumbest thing ever said by a human.

"What?" Yeonjun said defensively. "Am being serious here."

Soobin scoffes while rolling his eyes " Hyung why are you so dense?"

"Well now that you know freaking dense just tell me what in the world your problem is!" Yeonjun glowered.

Soobin looked away and kept looking away.

Yeonjun waited for while while repeating "patience" over and over again in his head.

After what felt lik ages Soobin finally let out a long tired sigh and said with a soft voice" I don't like Sehun. "

"Huh?" Yeonjun was baffled. How is Sehun even involved in this?

Soobin was really putting his patience to a test.

"If you don't like Sehun then ignore him! Why the heck are you giving me a cold shoulder?" Yeonjun asked confused.

Soobin groaned and kicked the signboard nearby which startled the the other pedestrians in the bus stand.

Some glared at them while the others minded their own business. A mother even went as far placing her kindergarten kid behind her while looking at them defensively as they were delinquents who would loose their minds and attack everyone in sight.

If they were under normal circumstances Soobin would immediately bow and apologise but their current situation was anything but normal due to which Yeonjun had to take the role of being the polite one.

" We are very sorry." Yeonjun said while bowing and then he grabbed Soobin's wrist and pulled him toward the alleyway.

" What the heck was that?" Yeonjun demanded.

Soobin roughly rubbed his face with both his hands while breathing in and out, trying to calm down.

Calm down from what?

Even Yeonjun had no clue.

Why was a model student like she acting so out of control and volatile? Is he nearing his rut but Soobin never had a rut before. Alphas usually go into rut before they are eighteen and Soobin was already eighteen. Is that what it is? Is Soobin going into his first rut?!? If that's the case then Soobin should head home immediately and visit the doctor just to safe!

Yeonjun's thoughts were running wild as he tried to figure out Soobin's problem.

"Are you going into your first rut?" Yeonjun blurted and immediately wanted slam his mouth shut. But it was too late.

Who the hell even asks such a private question?!!?

Soobin's eyes widened as he looked at Yeonjun in surprise. Yeonjun regretted asking! Now Soobin will think he is an impolite brute!

Yeonjun kept his face neutral, making sure his face did not betray his emotions.

Conceal. Don't feel it. Don't let them know.

Soobin stared at Yeonjun for a while as if contemplating how to answer. Yeonjun kept his calm facade, pretending to be unbothered.

Although they both knew that Soobin was an alpha and Yeonjun was an omega Yeonjun never really put too much thought into it. Their secondary gender was like a known fact between them and it was understood but never addressed.

They never really spoke about each other's alpha/omega problems.

Yeonjun never told Soobin about his first heat when he was 15 and how he almost lost control while helping his aunty at the day care centre in his hometown.

He never told Soobin about how his scent suppressants failed to control his lust driven heat scent and how his aunt's husband had to literally fight off an alpha who thought Yeonjun needed to be knotted.

He never told Soobin about how nervous and panicked he felt when he thought about his scent suppressants not working properly one and everyone finding out he was an omega.

Whenever his heat came around he pretended to be sick and stayed at home with his aunt visiting from time to time.

The whole school assuming that he was an alpha also worked in his favour as they automatically related his absence to him going into rut.

During his absence Yeonjun never told Soobin that he was in heat but he believed that Soobin was smart enough to it figure out.

During his heat Soobin never visited him. He didn't even text him. Even when they met after his heat was done, Soobin never really asked how his heat went, he would simply act like Yeonjun was never absent in the first place.

And Yeonjun liked to keep it that way.

Now that Yeonjun had asked Soobin about his rut, he felt like he crossed some invisible line that was drawn by the both of them unconsciously. He felt like he was walking into some uncharted area.

Although Yeonjun liked exploring, he didn't really want to explore this area, especially not with Soobin who was clearly a kid.

It felt illegal.

"I had my rut two months ago." Soobin finally said after a long pause.

"Oh ok" Yeonjun answered mechanically.

Now Yeonjun could cross out the possibility that Soobin's rut was getting the best of him because Soobin obviously had his rut two months ago and it would take another four months for him to go into rut again as ruts and heats come once every six months- WAIT!

Yeonjun's eyes widened and his mouth fell open as he looked at Soobin in shock.
Soobin got his rut two months ago and he said it so casually as if it was the most obvious thing ever and as if expected Yeonjun to know but Yeonjun didn't! All this time Yeonjun thought Soobin was a late bloomer and was still a pup!

Maybe just like how Yeonjun had never opened his mouths about his heat, Soobin never opened his mouth about his rut too.

Yeonjun was in a daze with his mouth and eyes wide open. He couldn't believe his ears.

Soobin was no pup, he was clearly a full fledged alpha!
