Y/N's Point of View

You strolled down the hallway, preparing to make your entrance into Hunnigan's office. As you stepped inside, your eyes fell upon Leon, who was seated facing Hunnigan with his back to you.

You couldn't help but admire the well-defined muscles that contoured his back. Your mind wandered about how they would feel under your touch. The sight of his shoulders drew your attention. It was undeniable; you had developed a slight crush on Mr. Kennedy, which was quite unusual for you, especially after the zombie outbreak in your hometown.

Since that day, you had chosen to isolate yourself, having lost everyone dear to you. Friends and family had been taken away from you in an instant. You had always believed it was safer to be alone, shielding yourself from the pain of losing someone you cared about.

However, there was something about Leon, something that resonated with you on a deeper level. You couldn't quite put your finger on it, but you had a sense of connection.

Regardless, acting upon these feelings was out of the question

Regardless, acting upon these feelings was out of the question. Entering a relationship with a colleague, especially while battling an organization with bioweapons, was highly unprofessional.

You had to suppress these emotions and focus on the task at hand. Yet, every word that escaped Leon's lips tempted you to forget about professionalism.

Leon turned to you and glanced at what you were wearing. He smiled and commented, "Hey you look good in my shirt". Hunnigan swiftly rolled her eyes and dismissed his remark.

"Ignore him, Y/N," she advised, pointing to a seat beside Leon. Leon scoffed at Hunnigan's response, but you complied and took your seat, waiting for Hunnigan to begin the mission briefing. She wasted no time in getting straight to the point.

"I called you both here to provide an update on the mission, and this is serious, so pay attention," she started, capturing your undivided attention.

Both you and Leon nodded, listening intently to Hunnigan's words. Her serious demeanor helped push your thoughts about Leon aside, allowing you to focus solely on the mission.
