Having to keep a secret

"Name's Bill by the way" he said, now resting his arms beside him. I stood there in silence, still trying to process what had just happened. "So?" he asked impatiently. ''So what?" I questioned, standing my ground, trying not to show the fear running through my veins.

Crossing his arms over his chest and leaning backwards, still keeping eye contact with me "You owe me." he said. "For what?!For beating up that guy before? I never asked you to do that." I replied, thinking about how arrogant one can be.

"So you'd rather still be in that man's arms begging him to let you go, than here with me?" He said with an unsettling calm voice, sending shivers down my spine and also making my heart race like it was about to jump out of my chest.

"Of course not, but-" Before I could finish the sentence, I heard my phone start to ring in my pocket. Wondering who it may be, I answered the phone.

*On the phone*

Carmen: "Where'd you go girl? I've been looking for you everywhere!"

Y/N: "Oh sorry, I just came outside to take a breather and then decided to walk home. I wasn't feeling so great after what happened earlier."

Carmen: " Oh alright, well I'm glad you're okay. Get some some rest when you get back, ok? I already called Laura to come pick me up, so see you at home."

Y/N: " Yeah, alright see ya!"

*End of the call*

I looked to my right, already unaware of his presence, a grin on his face reaching from ear to ear. "That your friend from before?" he asked. "Yeah, she was just asking where I vanished, since you know... I didn't really get to say bye." I said teasing him a bit, his smile dissolved into a sardonic expression, tinged with seriousness. "Furthermore, as previously mentioned, you are indebted to me, and I have a proposition on how you can make amends." he stated, making me laugh out loud by how dorky that was. "Alright, alright what do you want?" There was a slight pause after I finished what I was saying, the silence was deafening almost. After some time he finally opened his mouth and spoke "Be my girlfriend."

Meanwhile with Carmen and Laura...

*Laura's pov*

As I parked my car in front of the sketchy looking club, feeling my body shiver with the off-putting energy this place was giving off. A few seconds later my gaze locked on the girl walking towards the car. The car door opens and closes with the speed of light.

"Hey now, is everything okay?" I asked with my brow arched and confusion written all over my face. "Buckle up, because you'll be astonished when you hear what happened." said Carmen, a glimpse of excitement and impatience reflected in her voice. "I'm guessing you must be hungry, so where to?" I asked, smile widening with every word. "You thinking what I'm thinking?" Carmen said banteringly. "Korean BBQ!" we hollered at the top of our lungs, laughing it off afterwards, since it was our go-to dining spot.

On the way there, we did carpool karaoke singing songs from Queen, Bruno Mars, One Direction and etc. Nothing feels better than singing old bops with your best friend.

As we entered, our senses were greeted with a symphony of sizzling meats and aromatic spices , making us excited to finally eat after a long day of flying, unpacking and in my case even studying. The cozy restaurant was adorned with traditional Korean decorations, creating an inviting atmosphere.
