Aizawa POV
It's been a couple weeks since the mess at USJ. All I want to do is sleep in the time off they gave us but I have to take care of problem after problem. Why dear god did I even sign up to be a teacher.
I hear a deep grunt from my co worker who is attempting to clear his throat, "We're you able to find a candidate for the free spot in class 1-A?"
Shit he's right, after the incident, one of my students, Mineta, came to us with his parents to leave the school. Lights must've been too bright for the poor kid, I get it tho, that was one hell of a first experience, we're lucky nobody died out there. Guess he's just not cut out for the job, it happens.
"I'm not sure Toshi... the general Ed kids are in there for a reason, none of them are ready to be integrated to the Hero course. Shinso is their best student but he's nowhere near ready. *Sigh..* This is a mess Yoshi, did you find anyone from the outside?" I know for a fact All Might has a plethora of hero friends from all over. One of them have to have a promising kid or something. I'm not taking a kid who's not ready or some rejectee from the entrance exam just because we need a spot.
"You know... I just might. Do you remember Blue Wonder? From the US?" Of course I did, everyone did. It's a shame really on her disappearance, she was inspiring as hell, a little too much for my taste but I can see the appeal, so I nod at him.
"Well I'm not sure if you knew but I kept in touch with her after her so called disappearance. She left because she became a mother you see, to a talented young boy, inherited her quirk yknow." Okay now I'm intrigued.
Blue wonder is known to have one of the most versatile quirks in the history of heroics, nobody knows the specifics but the rap sheet on her feats is long. The Ringer does a yearly all time quirk ranking and she usually places top 5, uh, but I don't follow that stuff. If this kid really inherited her quirk, he's gonna be a force. "Quirks aren't everything Yoshi, do you know anything about this kid?"
"Nothing much comrade, just his name and that he takes a lot after his mother, quirk and personality wise." Well she was one hell of a hero so that's definitely a good thing. I give All might the green light and head out on my way to get some sleep in the faculty lounge, I need at least an interview with the kid to see if he's worth teaching taking in as a student. Oh well, we'll see.

Somewhere around the mountains of North Dakota...
This estate is the home of the former US #1 hero Blue Wonder, otherwise known as Sofia Masayoshi, and her son, August. It's secluded from the rest of society, far away enough that nobody could here the occasional explosion or laser blast. Actually, there might be something right no-
"COME ON SON, PUSH YOUR GODDAMN LIMITS!!" Yelled Blue wonder in her workout gear.
The Masayoshi family right now was in their out door gym getting some training done. Sofia was wearing a blue sports bra and red leggings while August was shirtless in some basketball shorts. She was currently spotting him while he was trying to squat 1 ton worth of weights.
"I'm f-fucking trying ma..!!" August barely grunts out.
"How are you ever going to continue my legacy if you don't push past what you can already do, huh?" said the former #1 hero encouragingly.
The words seemingly snapped something in August's head and with a convicted yell, he forced out 5 more reps before throwing the weights onto the ground. With a satisfied look on her face Sofia, seemingly with ease, picks up the weights and places them back where they were. August kinda just lays on the floor, drenched in sweat and breathing deeply. Pecs and abs glistening in the sun, chest rising and falling while he tries to catch his breath.
"See? Not so hard was it? I'm sorry I have to push you like I do but since we missed the cutoff for applying to UA University, we have to keep up with the kids who already have a head start on you." Says the mom with a soft smile on her face.
"Yeah yeah...I know mom. Wait, weren't you the reason we missed the cutoff??" Questioned the boy with an annoyed look.
"H-hehehe, we'll it's not my fault I had to do a black opps mission, the cartel was making moves and I had to check it out. The application cutoff just wasn't in my head..." Puffing her cheeks with a pout. August just chuckled and plopped his head back on the ground to rest.
It was his dream to attend UA, like one of his favorite heroes All Might, second to Endeavor of course, much to his mothers dismay. Always saying 'You have the one and only Blue Wonder all to yourself, why is All Might your favorite???' But to him, the power all might held and the Justice he always upheld, it was inspirational.
'Too bad I'll have to wait another year to get in, I mean there's plenty of good hero schools in Japan and here in the US, but nah, I wanna go to UA" thought the young man, trying to fill his lungs with air again.
After giving him a kiss on the forehead Sofia went inside to get her son a towel along with the equipment for his quirk training. All in the mean while telling herself she is not killing her son.
*Tune to shake it off starts playing* 'Who the hell is calling me?' thought Sofia, she put herself on high alert considering not many people had her phone number, at least not anyone who would call out of the blue like this. Worried it was the cartel or some Villain, she slowly picks up the phone and prepares for the worst....until she hears a familiar, overly enthusiastic, yet weaker voice.
"Sofiaaaa!! It is me All Might! How have you been comrade, It's been a long while since we've last spoken" proclaimed the loud man.
"Jeez Toshi you scared the living crap out of me *chuckle* I forgot I gave you my number back then. Is everything okay?? It's not like you to call." Questioned the hero while she leaned on her counter top, throwing and catching a black orb like a baseball.
"HAHAHAHA I'm sorry my friend, it's nothing bad not to worry. Actually it's good news! I was wondering has young August found a hero college he'd like to go to? I haven't seen his name on any of the public records."
"Honestly Toshi no, a-actually I was supposed to enroll him into UA but I missed the enrollment window hehe" she says with a sweat drop.
"That is tremendous news!! Erm- Not that you missed the window but that is great news because a spot just opened it in the Hero Course's class 1-A. And I will personally help enroll young August because if he's anything like you, he's going to be an incredible hero." Said the man in the passionate and inspirational tone that he was known for.
At this point Sofia is through the roof, literally. She's floating right below the ceiling, wriggling in excitement. "Oh my god Yoshi that'd be amazing! I can't thank you enough for this, he was so disappointed he couldn't go this year. Thank you so much for calling, I'll send you over his information right away. If there's anything I need to do just let me know" said Sofia as happy as can be. After being told about the interview and that she'd have to go with him, they say their goodbyes and Sofia slowly floats down to the floor.
She sets her phone down and does a silly little dance, jumping around, pumping out her arm, and just radiating happiness.
'Things are really going our way, finally. It might be time for me to come out of hiding, for his sake. He's a big kid, strong, probably gonna be stronger than me one day, no- he's going be better. Whatever it takes sofia.' She then flies outside, excited to tell her son the amazing news he's been waiting to hear.

There we gooooo. Ik this one wasn't as focused on our mc but it'll get more to that later. Let me know in the comments what I can improve on or what people would like to see cause I'm open for suggestions. This story is gonna follow the anime trajectory but with a new top student to add to the competitiveness. A couple more villains, ocs, arcs, whatever lol. We'll see lol.
