Tails And sonic make it to chemical factory as tails looks disgusted with this as in the past sure sam used to be a scientist that mixed chemicals for advanced formulas of knowledge but know using it on pure fresh water making it undrinkable for the population and is afraid of his mother drinking it as well.

Tails nods as he then follows Sonic into the factory dogeing any traps and machines Eggman had after them as Eggman watches in he's lab inside of the factory while he watches the fox and the little gimmicks he makes to go through it .

Eggman : hmmm this fox is smart for a animal * he said to himself as he circle around the room thinking of how to use this fox against sonic as Cleary this fox is intelligent for he's age *

Eggman then snap he's fingers in genius as then wrote down some plans for later called * project *fox maker * .

Back to sonic and tails as they make it to area where there was a tank showing a machine mixing the chemical compounds and looks like a octopus.

Then a alarm was heard in the room as then the machines eyes open and glow dark red as it bashes the tank as then sonic grab tails and runs from the room as them the tank breaks causing the purple water to rush like a tidal wave coming into the room and out to the hallway sonic was rushing in untile it got to them as they run still but I'm water as they hold their breath *

Sam thought this was very clever as he thought about how Eggman makes traps even using his own machines that he uses for making chemicals as weapons as it's basically using any resources he can to destroy sonic and him.

Sam : what a real mad scientist he is just like a cringe Sci fi villain I used to watch from time to time * he thought to himself *

As due to underwater combat in sonics world tails and sonic used the water bubbles to stay alive while fighting the giant octopus robot watching it out for it'd typhoons attacks and its multiple tentacles.

After the robot was destroyed the water was being drained as sonic finally got out of the water and shakes it off like tails as he basically hopes he doesn't do it that again as he hates water .

Tails : ever tried to learn how to swim?

Sonic : nah I rather run its my go to thing

Tails doesn't want to argue but in his mind as maybe he should come up with underwater shoes sonic can use to run more efficiently in underwater areas.

Then they head off again as they go through mutiple hoards of robots and mutiple passageways untile they make it to Eggman as he was waiting for them as then the area was consumed by water as then the they seemed to be a ocean of thus stuff as then Eggman gets consumed by a giant sea creature of legend similar to leviathan as then both belive Eggman was dead until Eggman can be seen in the glass of its giant eye as he laugh.

( for anyone who thinking no this is not Canon but since we don't see a Eggman who wants to make sonic suffer due to he's intervention and make tails work hard with he's intelligent lets see what they can do against a monster like robot for real )

Eggman : fools you thought I be dead now I send you all to your dooms as I know sonic can't swim and I see you can fox so now how can you help your friend!

The robot monster roars making sonic and tails fly in the water as then sam thought quickly as the robot was meters long and could be hard to fight as then he thought abt smt else as then he uses hes tails and uses it like a motor and grab sonic and uses it to run away and think while Eggman chases them

Sam : hmm if I think abt this this robot is big and me and sonic are slowly running out of air and not finding much bubble but i  think I know what to do * he thought in he's mind already seeing the blueprint of the r9bot like structure as then spins in a circle and throws sonic out of the way as then he gets swallow by the robot which makes sonic look shock and mad thinking the person he just met and thinks as a little brother just died to help him *

Sonic then landed on the floor and looks pissed for Eggman for killing tails as Eggman didn't expect this and maybe need to see tails remains later as then sonic tried to beat the giant ocean like monster as he couldn't be fast like he was on land as he struggle untile Eggman hit him hard as sonic crashed down as he is hurt and can't move and when Eggman thought he had the last laugh the robot malfunction as mutiple bombs thst were placed by tails explodes as Eggman yelled and curse at tails as tails makes it out and grab sonic to the surface as they both take a breather while Eggman escapes like usual.
