Marlene was diagnosed with ADHD and tendencies of autistic behaviour at a young age, long before the idea of adopting her little sister Lily even was spoken off, so when Lily was adopted it was lets say a bit more difficult.

Their dads loved the girls with their whole heart but to say Lily was difficult was an understatement, the young girl not understanding why her "big girl" sister acted so childlike and struggled in certain situations, used her sass as insults.

One thing that her dad had noticed was that her grandpa Jay wasn't exactly onboard with the idea of them having a kid at first but he's grown and he's chill with it now.

The two sisters were alike yet so different at the same time, their personalities were similar but they came from different heritages, Lily was Vietnamese while Marlene was Korean.

Marlene was adopted long before her daddy Cameron was brought into the picture, her dad just needed something to commit too and wanted to let dating go for a while so he threw himself into a responsibility, he definitely wasn't ready for but with the help of the family he managed to raise the girl and help her with her mental disabilities. When she was six, her dad introduced her to Cam and the girl loved him, getting them to where they are today.

🌕 Marlene and Luke grew up together causing them to be very close, they were quite similar both not being the brightest bulb in the drawer, but they enjoyed each others company and Marlene enjoyed teasing Luke's siblings with him.

🌖 Marlene and Haley didn't have similar interests, seeing them for more than five minutes you can figure out that they are complete opposites, but Haley loved showing Marlene the gorgeous world of boys, makeup and hair, and throughout Haley trying to throw her personality onto Marlene they grew quite close.

🌗 Marlene didn't understand Alex a lot of the time, she spoke and referred to everything in a smart way that Marlene didn't understand, she did wish she was as smart as Alex but she was trying to get Alex to loosen up a little.

🌘 Marlene and Manny weren't that close, Marlene struggled to make her own decisions and think for herself sometimes, so when she saw Luke getting annoyed at being called Manny's nephew, she'd do the same when he called her his niece.

🌑 Marlene and Lily, shared the same sassy personality, which Lily definitely had an influence on, even though she didn't let that personality down, she was grateful for her big sister and Marlene was glad that they adopted lily too.

🌒 Phil shared the same childlike ways as Marlene just for different reasons, they had a similar duo to Phil and Luke and the trio would normally be found together

🌓 Claire really tried to turn Marlene into a mini her and kinda rudely not let her go down the same path as Haley and more so Alex, though Marlene wasn't catching onto to that, don't get me wrong Claire loves Marlene but she just wants her life to go as easy as possible.

🌔 Even though Gloria and Marlene hadn't known each other for long, Marlene really liked Gloria and it was returned, Gloria thought the girl was the perfect little ray of sunshine

🌙 When Marlene first became a part of this family Jay wasn't too onboard with the idea of his son adopting a kid, without a partner too. But he's learnt to deal and he loves Marlene, who shares his similar grandpa style.

💫 Mitchell and Marlene, shared a similar personality about silently judging people, he handled Marlene's disabilities well and allowed her to handle them herself and gave her space the calm down when needed

☄️ Cam on the other hand, loves Marlene and wants to help Marlene all the time, she doesn't realise he's just trying to help when she's too overwhelmed sometimes, he was a very fabulous man to say the least but sometimes that was a bit much for Marlene.
