“My path is not to be decided nor foreseen by Elio, but to be carved by my very own hands.”
— To Be Known, 20##————————————————————————
In the grand tapestry of the galaxy, the passage of time is an ethereal dance, an ever-unfolding symphony that traverses the expanse of countless millennia. It is an immutable truth, a cosmic constant that remains unyielding. Have you ever pondered the reasons behind its unwavering presence? Why time endures, even as celestial bodies twinkle into existence and then fade into cosmic oblivion?
Belief. It is belief that bestows cosmic significance upon the fleeting moments that traverse the vastness of the galaxy. It is belief that elevates a mere speck in the cosmic continuum into a transcendental entity, forever etched in the annals of the cosmos. The whispers of these beliefs echo through the cosmic void, resonating across celestial realms.
Some may argue that belief holds no sway amidst the infinite reaches of the universe. Yet, they fail to perceive the full extent of its power. Within belief lies the potential to move celestial behemoths, to shape the very fabric of starlit existence.
However, your perception falls short of the cosmic panorama. I am not a deity by virtue of innate superiority alone, for that would be a fallacy. First comes belief, a concept that kindles my presence, and only then do I partake in the cosmic ballet.
It’s been three months. Three months since I—
“One plus one?” Cassius asked, laying his head on the mahogany table.
“Two,” Saiduq replied with a tone indicating, are you fucking with me? Clearly, he’s being fucked.
“Eleven,” Seiki answered, still looking at his phone. “I know of your ruse, boy.”
“Explain what you just said,” Saiduq demanded, looking straight through Seiki’s eyes. Or head, rather, because his eyes were glued to the phone.
“He never said equal, therefore, it’s eleven. Makes sense?” Seiki replied, before sighing.
“None of you is right. It is, in fact, three!” Cassius proclaimed, swiftly evading a flying glass of water aimed in his direction. “That was a waste of water and glass, don’t do that again, buddy.”
“How the fuck is it three?”
“A wise man only sees what he wants to see. Or lad in this version,” Cassius said before the silence ensued. Feeling awkwardness in the silence, he spoke, “Well…anyway, I’m quite hungry.”
“Same.” Finally, Seiki took his eyes off the phone.
“Let’s go then?”
Ω
The day couldn’t get any weirder. Perhaps it was a mistake? Or perhaps it was just his miserable luck in this world.
“I-I swear Seiki just looked at my panties!” the girl with a subtle blush of pink in her hair exclaimed.
“March 7th? What happened?” Dan Heng asked, his concerned — correction, stoic visage unwavering.
“What the fuck did you do, Seiki?” Cassius firmly grasped Seiki’s shoulder, a mischievous glint in his eyes revealing his enjoyment of the situation.
“I swear I was just finding my earring under the table. For some unlucky reasons—”
A sudden alarm blared and interrupted him. “That’s not going to work in the court. And it seems your unfortunate luck has managed to find its way into the current situation as well.”
