chapter 4

Clark was getting dressed in a light blue suit with a navy undershirt, tie, and shoes, he parts his hair in the middle and sprays a pleasant cologne he then observes himself in the mirror and mutter's "am I ready for this?" (thump thump thump) a knock came from the door soon followed by a feminine voice.

Lois: you almost done in there? the ball may last for four hours but we should at least arrive on time.

Clark: yeah just siking myself up.

Lois: aw is your boyfriend making you nervous~?

Clark: har har har. (he professed sarcastically)

Lois: but seriously if you need advice, reassurance or just someone to talk to I'm here for you Clark..

Clark: thanks Lois..

Lois: I'll be down in the car see you soon buddy!

Clark quickly adjusted his suit until he felt ready with one last glance at mirror, he walked down the stairs of the hotel and out to the parking lot where Lois was sitting in her cyan 1969 mustang with jazzy music playing out the windows.

Lois:(shouting) hey buddy get in! Gotham traffic is shit and I don't want to get stuck in that mess.

Clark: alright geez I'm coming SIR.

Lois: pfftHAHAJA *sigh* .

And with that Clark entered the the car and Lois punches the gas she really hates big city traffic she prefers to use the metro in metropolis and only really uses her prized car for special occasions like these, soon Lois & Clark arrived at Gotham city hall for the annual charity fund ball.

Lois: word on the street is that Aegean Starman is the number 1 environmentally friendly entrepreneur we have to figure out if she really is the kind business woman she's portrayed as in the media or if she's a disgusting fraudulent liar,

I know you're non-confrontational so I'll approach her separately after you've interviewed her first but if Bruce is there I'll do both type of questionaries and let talk to your boyfriend as long as promise to get me a too-go box filled with all the goodies, okay?

Clark: sure.. but Bruce & I have only been on one date and neither of us has followed up on a second so we can't really be boyfriends yet plus he might not want anything serious and I don't want to get my hopes up.

Lois: oh.. Clark.. you don't have to worry it's obvious you're both head over heels for each other I'm sure he's just making sure he's got the perfect date planned out before making the first move, you yourself told me he was some kind of hero too so I'm sure he's a strategic overthinker who want's make you feel special.. ren was like that to when we first started dating I had to be spontaneous and take her to my moms restaurant so we could finally have our second date she loved my moms curry so now when she's sad make it, the herbs really calm her down.

Clark: yeah you've had the most healthy relationship in the office so you know what you're talking about, but you'd better start explaining to me why you've never told me your mom has a restaurant!

Lois: no one asks what each others mom does for a living but if you're really that curious, when my mom first moved to America she needed and reliable source of income so she worked her way up from a food truck too a very nice kitchen in downtown metropolis where she makes the Best Indian food ever, and the realtor she bought from was my dad.

Clark: awww cute, you see this is why you should've told me earlier it's the story of how you came too be.

Lois: nope that was heterosexual reproduction a very very weird process.
