Chapter - 1

(Letty at the top)

~Letty's POV~

I woke up to the blaring sound of my alarm. I rubbed my eyes and went to the washroom to get ready for the big day. Tonight, at 9 PM, when Lucas OFFICIALLY turns 18, we'll officially be mates. Oh god, I can't wait. I just can't. We've been looking forward to this ever since we were kids, playing house together with our families enjoying during picnics.

I sit on the toilet to take a dump and start thinking about tonight when suddenly my best friend, Bethany, texts me.
"Yo girrrllll, big day, huh?" her text reads
"You know it! See you in school😉" i replied before jumping into the shower.

Blasting Taylor Swift's 'You belong with me', I ruffled through my clothes before finally picking a grey oversized sweater, blue jeans, and black cowboy boots. Once I'm ready to leave, I walk downstairs to see my family sitting at the table, eating breakfast. I pick up an apple and rush to the sound of the car horn.
"All the best sweety", my mom kisses my temple before I rush off.

I walk outside to see Lucas, my all time boyfriend and soon to be mate, in his car, honking impatiently. I sit in the passenger's seat and cup Locas' face in my hands "Happy Birthday, baby!" I say before giving him a kiss.

I feel his hand travelling all over my body, from my face to my hair, then to my neck, pulling me in for a more passionate kiss, one of his hands then travels down from my neck to my chest and cups my breast. I gasp in surprise that he takes advantage of my sticking his tongue inside my mouth. His right hand continues to play with my boob while his left starts travelling up from my thigh to my coochie... And this is when I realise he won't stop until I do.
I pull back, gasping for air, "Luke, we gotta wait, you know I want my first time to be with my mate"
"Ugh, but we're gonna be mates, you know it, our families know it, the whole pack knows it. I thought you'd want to give me a birthday gift. I guess not... " he says with a frustrated tone before stepping on the gas paddle.

I don't say anything.
I know we're gonna be mates but I still want our first time to be as mates. My first time as a mate. Ugh. It's fine I'll make up to him tonight when we're officially mates. I have my lingerie all set for him 😉

We walk hand-in-hand inside the school only to be bombarded with so many people wishing and congratulating Lucas on his birthday.

I chat away with Betty and notice STS (Sam The Skank) swaying her hips walking towards us.
"Happy Birthday, lukey!" She tightly hugs Lucas as a growl escapes from my throat.

"Oh relax" she lets go off of him and steps back. "See you tonight!" She smiles at Lucas before walking away.

"Relax, babygirl, I'm right here with you" Lucas pulls me into his arms and kisses my forehead. I breathe in his musky scent to calm myself. That bitch. I think to myself.

School passes by pretty quickly.
Betty and I rush back home to laze around before it's time to get dressed for THE NIGHT.
In between all our gossip, planning, and jam sessions, we didn't realise that the clock reads 8:30 and rushed to get dressed.

I wear my black dress (at the top), black and white pencil heels, brush my hair out, do my makeup with Betty's help and rush to the pack ballroom.
I greet everyone with a smile and pick up a glass of whiskey disguised as coke and make my way near the grand stairs to my soon-to-be mate. My Alpha.
