A week passed and no more news of another attack came out. That reduced the speculations around 'Teivel' by a lot and left room for the ball to stay in talk.
And it just so happened that Quinn, through whispers in the halls, has been made aware of some developement.
So when she spots Ivan lingering in the DADA tower, the anger inside boils over.
"Sokolov!"
Like many others on this very floor, his head turns with a force at the sound of her voice. That signature flirtatious smirk pulls at his lips. And then Ruby is stepping in view from the corner, her cheeks tinted with whatever that bloke smittened her with.
Unbelievable.
"Get lost," Quinn orders her sister, approaching with definite gait.
"No, I won't—"
"Get fucking lost, Ruby!"
Scowling, the redhead follows the order, but not before bumping Quinn's shoulder and leaving a bitchy "bitch," behind.
"Woaw, Grimaldi," he chuckles—fucking chuckles—with his palms up in half hearted surrender. "What's the circus all about?"
"Same question goes to you." She squares up infront of him, rage controlling her pulse. "Tell me what the fuck you're doing with my sister?"
Now, Quinn isn't going around micro managing her siblings lives—Merlin knows she has no energy for it—but as soon as Ivan is involved, this sort of reaction is very well justified.
His smile is as carefree as can be. "We were just talking, Quinn."
The intent is written clear as day beneath the casualness. It makes her stomach turn in disgust and fright that he will take further steps.
"Stop it. Immediatly."
His blue eyes roll, that smile never leaving. "There's no harm in—"
He is cut off when his back slams into the stone wall, feet just an inch above ground as she pins him with her magic. The hand holding her wand is shaking with fury.
Quinn enters his personal space, eyes boring into his wide ones. "If you go anywhere near her, if you so much as glance her way, I will cut that disease ridden dick of yours off and feed it to the hippogriffs. Is that clear?"
He nods, unable to speak.
"I said," the words are comming out harsher, pushed through her teeth, "Is that clear?"
"Yes, it's clear."
Satisfied with the fear she just induced, Quinn releases him from the magical bind and stalks off.
Halfway down the stairs, Davina is calling her name. Exhaling slowly, Quinn stops midstep to wait for her sisters short legs to catch up.
"I got a letter from home. I don't know why it landed on my table." She hands Quinn an openend envelope.
Earth? Swallow whole please. I don't have any nerves for this.
Davina must misinterprete the annoyed groan because the next words rush out. "I'm sorry I couldn't get it to you faster. I haven't seen you until now."
"No, I. . ." Quinn sighs in frustration and bone deep exhaustion. Sometimes she doesn't know how to talk to them. "How much did you read?"
"Only the first, like, three sentences," she replies sheepishly, avoiding her big sister's eyes. "Didn't sound good."
