Part 2

Your eyes slowly open and you check the time on your phone.

5:14 am

You grumble to yourself as memories of the previous day flood into your head. First class, lunch, the rest of class, and then getting immediately directed to the Principal's office to get into the dorms. You finally arrived at the bustling dorms at around 3:50 Pm. It was a long day, but a great day.

You made so many friends so quickly, which you never thought would happen. You get up and walk into the living room of the dorm, seeing Todoroki sitting there.

"Good morning." He says to you, his voice gruff and sleepy. "Would you like some tea?" You glance at him, finding it weird to see him in something other than a uniform. He was in a white t-shirt with a chibi noddle bowl on it, and half white, half red shorts. It was iconically him, you thought, even though you didn't know him well.

"No thank you." you plop down next to him. "Why are you up so early?" you ask.

"I wake up at five every morning." he puts his elbows on his knees, and his hands on his chin.

"Why?" you question. He shrugs.

"Why are you up?"

"My brain just woke up and I couldn't put it back to sleep," you explain.

"You're making it sound like you're killing it." your eyes widen with surprise and you whip your head around to look at him.

"Ack! No! Sorry! I didn't mean that!" you sputter.

"I was joking." He says. You didn't know he was joking because his tone of voice always sounded so serious and cold.

"Oh. haha!" you laugh nervously. He pulls out a Manga and flips to a bookmark. You recognize it. It's a Shojo manga. "You read those?" you say, your tone accusing, but not on purpose.

Todoroki shuts the book quickly, his face warm.

"Oh sorry. I just meant that I read those too. That's a good one BTW."

He looks at you, his face lit up. He opens his mouth to say something but your phone dings.

You turn back to Todoroki.

"I invited Uraraka down. Is that okay?" You ask, turning your phone off and slipping it back into the pocket of your Pajamas.

"Sure. everyone usually comes down at six anyways for breakfast. Rikidou usually made us all sorts of sweets, but he moved across Japan with his family to open a bakery."

"Oh. were you guys close?" You would feel bad if Todoroki lost a good friend.

"Not really. He just sat next to me in class." He gets up and makes himself a Taiyaki.

"Oh." you guys sit there in awkward silence and you can feel your phone buzz multiple times in your pocket. You take it out.

You open the group chat and are overwhelmed by the amount of texts from unknown numbers, but are able to put a few names to the numbers.

Honestly, at this point, everyone come on down!

You look at Todoroki, who was eating his food and checking his phone. He looked so peaceful. Things were about to get wild.

"Soooo. Turns out everyone is on their way down," you say sheepishly. "Uraraka invited everyone in a group chat."

Todoroki glances up at you, the Taiyaki hanging out of his mouth. He takes it out, sets it down, and turns his phone off.

"Yeah, I know. Uraraka added me to the group chat too. Its all of our class. I just checked it and responded." as if on cue, your phone buzzes again. You look at the message.

"I might go for a walk." He says, mostly to himself. "Want to come with?" He glances to the side, over at you, and smiles slightly again. Your heart pounds in your chest and your stomach flips.

"I think im gonna hang with the gang," you say. "Sorry. Next time."

He shrugs and sticks his hands in his pockets, starting towards the door.

"Are you really going out in pajamas?" you call after him.

"I'll be back soon enough that it won't matter. The only person I'll probably meet on the way is Mirio." he opens the door, hesitates, then exits, closing it behind him. You sit there for a moment, confused.

Mina comes up behind you, scaring you. You jump and she giggles.

"Hey!" she smiles wide at you. "What's poppin'!?!"

"Not much," you reply, smiling back.

"Not much!?! You made the Ice King smile! It was small.... BUT IT COUNTS!" she exclaims. Her black and yellow eyes go wide.

"Does... he not do that usually?" you ask.

"Y/N!" she throws her bright pink hands and arms up in the air. "He has smiled like, twice since the school year started!"

"Really?" now your eyes go wide.

"YES!"

"Oh wow." you breathe. You had made him smile? Nobody else? You didn't think that was possible.
