After leaving the gym, I headed back home and picked up some groceries. I had a thorough shower before laying in bed after putting the items in the fridge and cupboard.
When I checked Instagram, I saw Scarlett's recent post. Since she left a month and two weeks ago, she should be returning within the next week.
She posted a story about this guy with her. Why is that guy standing very close to her and placing an arm around her waist in that manner?
Maybe she has a boyfriend now and has forgotten all about me. I turned off my phone and glared angrily up at the ceiling. I got up and broke the cup beside my bed. "SHE HAS A BOYFRIEND NOW?!" I was raging.
I dialed diana quickly. "Wassup Noah," she said after picking up the phone. "Why have I not heard about Scarlett's new boyfriend? I asked enraged. "Wow, chill out there, lion. What boyfriend?"she asked, " She's my best friend, and if she had a boyfriend, she would tell me." "Who is the person in her post, then?" I asked again, "That's not her boyfriend, that was my friend and her ex; they broke up two years ago." she said normally as if it were commonplace to be friends with your ex, I hid my embarrassment and remained silent. "Don't worry lover boy, she isn't dating anyone, they must be just friends since I know they aren't dating." she said emphasizing a bit on 'lover boy'.
"To be honest I didn't know they were friends again, especially after their fight, that left her broken, should have seen her before him, she was the happiest and funnest person I know" she said. "Why, what changed that"I asked curious, "Isn't my story to tell babe, ask her when she comes back"she told me. "Oh her birthday is after two weeks on the 10th of February" she reminded me.
"Are we doing anything?"I asked, "Yeah obviously, We are surprising her and you sir are joining us"
She commanded without asking me. "Alright" I agreed. "okay hon, imma call ash right now and ill text you back with information"she told me, "okay bye Diana"I told her. "bye"and with that she hung up.
I have know diana for 5 years now, since she joined. She knows me too well and she has been my friend before her and Asher met or even before they started dating a year ago. She is like a sister to me and I care for her like one too. Im grateful to her. Sigh.
